Hulk Finally Coming To The Premiership?

28 posts in this topic

Looks increasingly likely Porto want to cash in now and him wanting a new challenge....

Porto striker Hulk is attracting interest from Chelsea and four other Premier League teams, according to his agent.

The Bluesspacer.gif have long been credited with an interest in the Brazil international and the new European champions could be in the market for a striker following the departure of Didier Drogba.spacer.gif

Hulk has an eye-watering €100million release clause in his contract with Portuguese side Porto but appears ready to move on as he craves glory in the UEFA Champions League.spacer.gif

His agent, Teodoro Fonseca, insisted that no offers have yet been made for the powerful forward, but that he will begin working on his client's future in the coming days.

"No offer has been made yet, there is interest but it has not gone beyond that yet. I will start to deal with that next week," Fonseca told Lancenet.

"There are four other English teams interested in signing him, besides Chelsea.spacer.gif

"Porto are a big club, with great facilities and a big status in Europe. The problem is the Portuguese League. Hulk won everything at

Porto except the Champions League.

"He dreams of winning it and establishing himself at the national team. In order to achieve that, he has to jump to a more competitive league, we admire the Premier League."

Fonseca admitted that Porto do not want to see their star striker depart this summer, but feels they may not stand in his way should

Hulk express a desire to move on to pastures new.

He added: "Of course they will not let him go so easily, his release fee is €100 million, but in the end what the player wants will prevail, this is what Porto's board said themselves.

"Now it depends on the player and those interested in signing him. It will not be easy, there will be some negotiations, but Porto are not saying they will sell him only for €100million."

How well do you think he would settle in and how long till he comes one of the best in the league?

By 2nd season he should easily bang 25+ in all comps

With his physical attributes I dont think it would take him too long to adapt either

Thoughts?

If Porto want to cash in then i'm sure no one will have to pay the release fee. That was only there to deter any clubs trying to force Porto's hand.

Some of these clubs think because England has money then they can get an extra 45% on the players real value.

He'll probably still be a Porto player in three years time unless they drop that price tag

Hulk outside Portugal/Japan hmmm I am unsure about this guy

One moment he looks a world beater(going past people with skill, pace, power also making and scoring goals)

Next moment he looks very average (diving, complaining, shooting from every angle ,no work rate)

Like someone said City or Chelsea

And Sky Sports has learnt that a deal worth around £38million is close to being struck between the two clubs.

It is widely reported that Hulk's representative is now on his way to Europe to talk to Chelsea, along with any other interested parties.

Real Madridspacer.gif and Barcelonaspacer.gif are also long-term admirers, but Chelsea now very much appear to be in pole position to secure his signature.

The European champions are wasting little time in making an impact in the transfer market having already agreed a deal for Marko Marin, while they are also widely understood to have won the battle to sign Eden Hazard.
