Lolsmh. And all Africans are Nigerian.

Let's be honest though nigerians don't discriminate - if you're caribbean you're "jamo"

"awon jamo buru baje" - heard this statement so many times.

Lol what does this mean?

I googled and got "The book was marred by the worst"

I'm assuming something like Jamaicans are the worst or something?

haters

Not really - Nigerians and Jamaicans particularly have stereotypes about each other. Its not hate - its just misunderstanding.

nah it seems a lot more like hate from the side of Africans based on my experience on this forum and at uni

yes we all have bad stereotypes but we as Jamaicans are never taught to look down on you, we are never taught that we are a better calibre of people

we never got warned about socialising with you. Our parents even if they hold silly stereotypes are very accepting of us having partners from the continent. I really don't think you guys can say the same

it is hate and its sad for you

1. Don't address me as "sad for you" as if to say you know how my parents raised me or what I was advised of. I mentioned it was a statement I'd heard many times I didn't specify who from.

2. You wouldn't have been warned about socialising with "us"

3. "Accepting" What a ridiculous thing to say, exactly why could they have a grievance about you being in a relationship with someone of African descent please tell me?

4. When I survey the kids I went to school with that were black, and I look at where they are 10 years on. Hazard a guess at the "continent" the parents of the successful ones are from?

5. Its not hate, its reality, even if inflated a large majority of the things that african parents say about "jamo kids" is true, thats not to say its not also apparent in the african community, but its RIFE within the caribbean community. Don't care if its controversial, only a fool could claim to not be aware of it.

you as in you all as in you who have these hateful attitudes toward Jamaicans

As I said we were not warned about socialising with you, dno why you are repeating that -if our parents were haters then I'm sure they could have come up with some bullshit that justified them telling us not to hang around with you

You are asking why our parents could possibly have a grievance? but yet your grievances are well justified?

Both points 2 and 3 show already that you think you are better and that's the problem

I'm not gna get into trading anecdotes with you because what's the point

omg so u know some unsuccessful caribbean people so that justifies the hatred. LOL please

fulljoy your day

I dont see how you can agree with one and not the other

if the stereotypes ran deep enough for us to think we are better then the bit in red couldn't be true

we are  not taught that they are lower than us. this is my experience

we might have amongst us people who make ignorant jokes but it's not deep rooted as it is for the other side - as you can see repeatedly with attitudes on here. You don't see that deep rooted fuckry from caribbean people on here do you?

jamo chicks have no bants

school times whenever I used to send back during the aff-bbean wars the chicks would take it to HEART while the mandem just laughed.

probably because slave baby isn't bants

and those are they type of nasty things you say which show us that you are filled with hate toward us

the reason why I say its sad for you, is because it certainly isn't sad for us

not it isn't bants

and you know what, instead of telling you not to socialise with us, your parents should have taught you not to be followers, to be proud of who you are and where you come from and to not be afraid to stand out from the crowd

nah but stay away from jamos is the answer innit.

FOLLY
