PMSL bruh Fabregas has been de-clutched after he absorbed the tactics at Barcelona. He aint even got the confidence right now to pull them passes Kagawa can through the corridors. 

 

I'm pro Kagawa and still maintain my stance on Cesc not being great as a CM but don't get it twisted, he still has those passes in his locker

Cesc has spent at least 2/3 of his Barcelona career either injured/on the bench behind arguably the best midfield unit of all-time.

I beg you put things into context.

His quality has not reduced. He plays a false 9 role because of the strength of the Barcelona/Spain midfield, not because he wants to.

His current best position is as a advanced playmaker/attacking midfield but I see no real reason why, with the right coaching, he couldn't play as a deep-lying playmaker once more.

Dynamic central-midfielder with play-making qualities.

In the mould of Gundogan.

The modern team requires a certain level of dynamism in the midfield. The outlier is Barcelona because they've reached a next level of tekk & fluidity which Manchester United nor ANY other team can't replicate anytime soon.

It sounds counter-productive, but you don't want to overload a team with players who rely solely on tekk because TBH, that can be neutralised quite easily. Balance is key. The likes of Thiago, Cesc, etc make no sense because they're not the sort of players you NEED.

TBH, United fucked up by not buying Dembele. Would have been the PERFECT signing.
