In Jan I can see him ending up a Zenit just like the club wanted in the summer,

I would like him to get a move to Milan or somewhere though, never been the guys biggest fan but he has been treated a little like sh*t.

Said it many times before, he will go onto being a quality quality player but I doubted it'd happen at United. there's a lot of factors.

Must be demoralising going to training everyday for a manager who plainly doesn't want you there.

As for replacements, Fergie is probably thinking Kagawa, RVP, Welbeck and Rooney can all play there, he'll probably try Buttner and Powell there at some point too if all else fails.

Vidic out until Christmas

United skipper Nemanja Vidic is likely to be sidelined until the festive period.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed to MUTV that he does not expect his commanding centre-back to return to action until late December.

After recovering from a cruciate ligament injury sustained in last year's Champions League exit at Basel, the Serbian suffered another knee problem that required surgery.

"I think we're talking around December for Vidic," the boss told MUTV. "Maybe around Christmas time."

[GIFS] United v Arsenal: 5 Beautiful United Moments

Posted on November 4, 2012

Manchester United moved top of the Premier League with a 2-1 win at home versus a very average looking Arsenal side.

United were rarely threatened, and had several gears in reserve that were never called for. Robin van Persie continued his brilliant form since his summer move, and ensured Arsenal fans remembered the loss of their star player by scoring the opener and looking dangerous throughoutthe game.

Here are this weeks top 5 GIF moments…

1. Robin van Persie skill

iblLPSsur0wrwL.gif

Van Persie, who had already netted his 10th goal in a United shirt, displayed his skill with this lovely little take and turn after receiving a throw in with a defender on his back.

2. Antonio Valencia flick

iHOHVL7jA9HK9.gif

Much like in the build up to the United opener, Valencia pulls off a great little flick pass, this time with the outside of his boot to get United on the attack.

3. Tom Cleverley play

ibuACymjC7Xkli.gif

Despite being substituted after an hour to protect him from a possible red card, I thought Cleverley looked good again in the United midfield. Neat and tidy as well as getting stuck in, this moment shows what he can bring to the United midfield. Quick pass, find space, quick pass, find space. Simple, yet when effective, helps United play at a pace and tempo that makes them dangerous.

4. Antonio Valencia ‘Meg’ pass

ib11QtXNqS65q7.gif

Something we have seen several times on this site, you would almost certainly find this in the Antonio Valencia book of moves. Hold the ball, wait for the defender to make a move and then pass the ball through his legs to a team mate.

5. Wayne Rooney tackle, Anderson pass

ibb2fTXsNdpJDa.gif

Ask to play in a position where he must support the striker as well as help out the midfield two, tackles and interceptions are a key part to his game. Here he pulls of a mixture of the 2 to win the ball back before Anderson shows off a cheeky little skill pass.

Manchester United's Keane & Lingard set for Leicester

Leicester City are on the verge of signing teenage Manchester United duo Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard on loan, reports BBC Radio Leicester.

Defender Keane made his debut against Aldershot in last season's League Cup and has played in both of their ties in this season's competition.

But attacking midfielder Lingard is yet to make a first-team appearance.

The Foxes hope to complete the deals in time for the pair to be available for Tuesday's game against Bolton.

Leicester are keen to bring in cover because of injuries and suspensions.

Zak Whitbread, who was sent off against Watford on Saturday , is banned and Sean St Ledger and Jamie Vardy are injured.

Smalling to feature in Braga

.

Sir Alex has confirmed Chris Smalling will "play a part" in Wednesday night's Champions League clash against SC Braga.

The young defender has been out of action since breaking a bone in his foot during pre-season training in July but is set to return for his first competitive match since 6 May.

Two players the boss won't have at his disposal in Braga, however, are Darren Fletcher and Paul Scholes. Both midfielders were left behind in Manchester when the squad flew to Portugal on Tuesday.

Fletcher is suffering with a cold while Scholes, who hasn't featured in any of the Reds' last four fixtures, is being rested.

"I'm just thinking of the old man, that's all," Sir Alex joked.

More to follow...

Travelling squad: De Gea, Lindegaard; Rafael, Evans, Ferdinand, Buttner, Smalling, Evra; Cleverley, Giggs, Anderson, Nani, Valencia, Carrick, Young, Powell; Rooney, Welbeck, Chicharito, van Persie.

5 Beautiful United GIF Moments from the Braga game

Posted on

November 8, 2012

Manchester United completed qualification to the next round of this season Champions League, as Group Winners, thanks to a 3-1 win away at Braga.

This will be welcome news to Sir Alex Ferguson as it now gives him the opportunity to rest many key players for the remaining 2 group fixtures and focus on the League whilst our Title rivals need maximum points from their remaining group games.

United gambled with their team for the trip to Braga, resting the likes of Robin van Persie, Michael Carrick and Rio Ferdinand, whilst giving Chris Smalling his first action of the season after long injury absence. The gamble looked to be back firing, after 80 mins United were 1-0 down and struggling to really put the hosts under pressure. Enter the main man, ORVP, to get the Reds level and lift the entire team to score twice more and win the game.

Despite long periods where United looked labored and frustrating they did give us several moments of brilliance to enjoy. Here are my top 5 GIF moments…

1. Danny Welbeck backheel nutmeg pass

ibfAJ31yHUBILy.gif

Despite a very quiet yet hard working shift on the left wing (not where he is at his best), you will always get a moment of brilliance from Welbeck with his technical ability and skill. Here he gives us a beautiful backheel nutmeg 1-2 return pass to Patrice Evra

2. Nani & Valencia defending

izCPTmZLq00kL.gif

The 2 wingers showed the kind of defending you would expecting from attacking players. First Nani does well to win the ball before passing it over his shoulder to Valencia, who then juggles the ball before taking on and beating his man.

3. Ryan Giggs play and pass

i2SqSLADvyDVu.gif

Whilst you get the feeling his time is starting to draw to an end, there is still no doubting that Ryan Giggs can produce moments of pure class. He shows brilliant feet to draw in, and then go past the defender before playing a delightful pass into the run of Javier Hernandez. His first touch was great and shot saved before Rooney wins United a penalty.

4. David de Gea skill

i5WvoGgQck9bs.gif

Like we saw earlier this season v Fulham, David de Gea has great feet and demonstrated this again with a nice little drop of the shoulder to get away from the onrushing striker.

5. Wayne Rooney assist

iYyOZavshSoc3.gif

I love this. Pure brilliance from Rooney, who under pressure when receiving a cross from Valencia, plays a stunning skilled pass to the unmarked Javier Hernandez (who eventually put the ball in the net). Awareness and delivery of the highest class.

GIF-Tastic! The best Utd moments from their comeback win at Villa

Posted on November 11, 2012

Manchester United came from behind to win (the 5th time this season they have made the comeback) and open a 4 points gap at the top of the table (Chelsea play Liverpool today).

Much like in Braga, United were average at best in the first half and were deservedly punished as Villa scored just before the break to take the lead.

Sir Alex Ferguson made a change at HT and brought on Javier Hernandez. He was unable to make any impact before Villa went 2-0 up. The Mexican striker wasn’t to be kept out the headlines for long though with a 2nd half hat-trick to win United all 3 points.

It was yet another brilliant gameto watch for the neutral and heart punishing for United fans but they came good and produced some class moments for us to enjoy. Here are my top 5 GIFS…

1. Ashley Young skill

ibb0kFP8enJsHd.gif

A very typically beautiful pass by Paul Scholes finds Ashley Young who shows great skill by feigning to stop still before rolling the ball away and heading infield. This helped create space from him to get a shot away.

2. Wayne Rooney Pass

ibsKaGe8dQsmUj.gif

I really liked this one, as the ball is rolled into Rooney, he flicks it up and plays an instant little vollied pass into the run of Patrice Evra.

3. Michael Carrick Pass

i5VfFC2gl25RF.gif

As a United cross is headed clear by the Villa defence, it falls to Carrick who plays a lovely first time pass on the volley out wide to Wayne Rooney.

4. Antonio Valencia – One man Counter

ibzH2878ckNMzc.gif

As the ball falls to Valencia inside our own box, he takes control out wide, beats his man and then shows his stamina and pace to run the length of the pitch to relieve the late pressure on our back line and give United possession inside the Villa half.

5. A trio of Chris Smalling headers

iL9Rt3qwtDhtT.gif

After United had taken an 88 minute lead, Villa pressed for an equalizer. 3 times balls were pumped into the United area only for Chris Smalling to show his natural defensive ability to be ‘in the right place’ and head clear. The 2nd header is particularly impressive, showing desire and bravery to beat 2 Villa players to the ball.

Manchester United debt to fall below £400m for first time since Glazer family takeover in 2005

Manchester United are expected to confirm on Wednesday that the club’s debt has fallen below £400m for the first time since the leveraged takeover by the Glazer family in May 2005.

By Mark Ogden

12:05AM GMT 14 Nov 2012

United will announce its figures for the first quarter of the financial year on Wednesday lunchtime and the gross debt, which stood at £436.5m in accounts posted for the year ending June 30, 2012, is due to have been reduced with the proceeds of July’s partial flotation on the New York Stock Exchange, which raised £68m.

Wednesday’s figures, which cover July, August and September of this year, are also set to reflect recently-struck sponsorship agreements with Bwin, Toshiba Medical Systems, Yanmar, Fuji TV, Santander, Shinsei Bank and MBNA.

Player wages are expected to show an increase, however, as a result of the summer acquisitions of Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa.

The Glazers, United’s Florida-based owners, borrowed £515m to complete their £790m takeover of the club seven years ago and have since re-financed the debt through a bond issue and the Initial Public Offering (IPO) in New York.

Meanwhile, reports in Australia have suggested that the New South Wales State Government is prepared to fund a £2m offer to lure to United to Sydney for a pre-season game at the ANZ Stadium next July.

United are currently considering a number of offers to tour Australia, India and the Far East next summer, with Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne all attempting to fund efforts to tempt the club to Australia for the first time since 1999.

Lucrative invitations to play in Hong Kong have also been received by United, but it is understood that no final arrangements have yet been made regarding the club’s pre-season plans.
