Those four players replacing your current bench, plus Pogba means European supremacy and CL semi-s with a realistic chance of bettering Barca don't even need to fret about who is better between Nani and Sanchez, the quality is exceptional

 

Imagine Fabregas behind RVP alone, Villa coming in from the right, Alexis from the left and Masch marshalling the midfield supporting Pogba and Fab

 

That wont come third in a CL group no way

A lot of people are missing the point.

 

United need a CM.

 

Cesc now plays as a number 10/False 9.

 

With Kagawa and other players(not Rooney) that can play there(some sooner than others) it's not an area that needs to be addressed.

 

Now some people will say that Cesc can still play as a CM just like the good old days next to Flamini.

 

But Barca found out that this isn't true and have given up on their mission to groom him into becoming Xavi's replacement due his struggle to adapt to the responsibilities of the CM role.

 

Instead, when Xavi is injured/rested they turn to Thiago who has the patience, discipline and tactical awareness that Cesc lacks due to the years of playing more direct and going wherever he wanted on the pitch.

 

So instead of buying Cesc, a player that doesn't want to play as a CM any more and continuing Barca's failed project of trying to coach him back into being a CM it makes more sense to buy Thiago who is better footballer, cheaper and would improve our team playing as a CM more than Cesc would as a CM.

Whole point is we don't want to just win the league though

 

We wan't to challenge every year in the CL like Bayern/Real/Juve etc 

 

We want ball retention, we want more cultured and technical players
