1) Final Fantasy 7I know RPG's arent a lot of peoples things but this game was lightyears ahead of its time and its sentimental to my childhood :D. Great story, great gameplay, lots of things to do and great 2) Star Wars Knights of the Old republicAll I remember with this game when I got it was being very pissed off. I got given it as a gift with my Xbox and thought it was gonna be sh*t like every other Star Wars game but was surprised. Thought it was sick I could make my own jedi. Great story with a great twist I didnt see coming.3) Grand Theft Auto 3From day I was a GTA fan. Played the legendary PC ones with the birds eye view lol so when I got this game I was amazed how you could run around the city doing what you like. This game was revoloutionary as all games started copying its style of gameplay after. Although Vice City and San Andreas were brilliant they were just building on GTA 3.4) Shenmue 2Im a martial arts buff so this game was always gonna appeal to me. I never played the first one but heard very good things about it however I heard negative things about the 2nd but I took a chance and its one of the best games I've played to date. Going through 1980's China is one of the best settings I've ever witnessed in a game and theres so much to do in there. Wicked game.5) Mario KartI didnt wanna put this in my list but I rinced this game out back in the day. Mario Kart is one of the most fun games I ever played and theres nothing more fun then getting your boys round...getting drunk...and playing MARIO KART! lol.Choosing your top 5 games is hard leaving out classics like Metal Gear Solid, Zelda Ocarina of time and Link to the past, Halo, pretty much every other Mario Game, Counter Strike, Pro Evo, Grand Turismo, Fight Night and WWE Warzone lol.

The amount of times this thread has been done but you never get bored of expressing your admiration for your best games.1: ShenmueThe most original game of it's time and most interractive world in video gaming. I had been following developments for this game for a while in my Official Dreamcast magazines that i would buy everyweek with the hope of finding something new out about Shenmue. I knew from the first time i ever read anything about this game that it was going to be a massive acheivement and something special. It truly was a masterpiece and the most immersive experience i will never forget playing a video game. I miss living Ryos life!2: Metal Gear SolidI had first seen this game in the Playstation Magazines and thought it looked kinda weird for a video game but interesting. Other than that i kinda forgot about it and did not pay much attention to the release of it. Hard to remember when i actually bought this game but wow, what a f*ck*ng experience. It easily eliminated any game at the time as the best of the bunch. The story and cinematic feeling to it was nothing short of amazing at the time. An absolute classic that spawned off some great sequels and prequels.3: Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasHaving already been a GTA addict from the day i played a GTA demo on the original Playstation at my uncles i was fully hyped for the release of San Andreas, knowing it had gone to the Westside compton style areas of America and the whole street gangs and coloured flags business it appealed to me even more. Rockstar never fail to deliver and this was a massive game! I spent hours and hours playing it free roaming around the massive cities.4: Streets of Rage 2Well this is not exactly an amazing game with it being from the 32 bit era and i can think of others that i would list as better games but the reason it gets in the top 5 is the fact that the time this came out was at a point in my life when i had become a true gamer. I had been playin video consoles from an age when i never really knew how too with my dad buying me amstrads and ataris and so on. It was when i got my commodore amiga 500+ that i developed a skill at playing games. But when the Megadrive came along it was a new story, and going round to your friends house and teaming up with them to battle it out in streets of rage and conquer the bad guys was just a great feeling back then.5: Resident Evil 2It was hard to leave out other games such as Shenmue 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Tomb Raider, but for number 5 i have gone with Resident Evil 2. I had actually never played Resident Evil 1 at the time and just went out and bought number 2 instead. The game was a rollercoaster ride of horror. You were always on the edge of your seat playing this game and it sh*t you up when things happened. The story was great and so was the characters and the whole concept of finding items and solving puzzles.Tis true it is hard to pick your great games, some you forget to mention. Too many played over the years.

1. Pokemon Redas one of the first games I owned and completed with no help from an older relative I must say this is a game I enjoyed excessively; LOADS of hours and batteries were lost clocking this game several times over. Then when I FINALLY got a Link-Up cable, the battles, the tricking the school retard and the tears was TOO MUCH. This is what got me on the RPG hype I think.2. GoldeneyeJesus! Brings back loads of memories, and is here almost entirely for multiplayer value. 4Pads + Goldeneye + Sugary Foods (weren't old enough for alcohol back then) = a 12 hour session on Goldeneye, one of the best shoot 'em up's i shall ever play. Shame this won't be coming to XBLA.3. Granstream SagaPicked this up at Rathbone market for 5 quid; one of the best fiver's i've ever departed with. Many guys might not know this game cos it certainly was not a hit and if you see the graphics now they are f*ck*ng laughable but BOY, i loved this game beyond beliefn and spent many hours playing on end. In fact, our of my box full of PS1 games I think i played this the most and I loved every minute of it. Swear this game even taught me life lessons like patience and problem -solving :D , f*ck brain training, every yute should play this sick RPG.4. Legend of ZeldaI ain't gonna specify a particular one because I really couldn't decide but this series was f*ck*ng banging and Wind Waker was the primary reason I got a Gamecube. Hours of wondering around and then getting stuck..Jesus, don't even think I need to say why I loved this RPG series.5. ISS/Pro Evof*ck Masterleague. Get mandem round your house, put money in hat, winner takes all = MAYHEM. Utter f*ckery, this game has disappointed me in recent but the multiplayer alone spawns too many jokes, some of the best times i;ve had with my 360 have come from playing this game. Once again, I cant specify I particular one but if I had to it would have to be ISS, ISS 64 was just like WHAM! Completely different to anything I had played before and the was just sick.I've missed out some other things like World Cup 98, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, etc. but when one says favourite I instantly think of most enjoyment. Funny no recent releases make it...BTW; anyone who had a Dreamcast and remember a game where you were a crime lord and had to tell your minions to jack museums and stuff? if someone can buss me the name I will be eternally grateful cos this is probably one of my other favourite games

1. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of TimeWell this is the game that changed my whole outlook on video gaming, I remember having to learn the musical note sequences when playing the Ocarina. I just loved riding horseback on Epona thru the vast fields of Hyrule as well as the mini-games that compliment the story plot ever so well. The game truly is a masterpiece and few game have come close to topping it.2. Super Mario 64This was the first game my mum bought for me, when I bought my N64, I remember first opening up the game and just running around peaches castle with Mario, ahh the memories. This game really set the standard for 3D gaming. 3. Goldeneye 64When it comes to multiplayer shoot-em ups, nothing comes close. This was the type of game you can put down for a couple months and then come back to it and still enjoy it. The game is probably the best in the shoot-em up genre(closely followed by Perfect Dark 64), ever. Straight Golden gun when i'm ere.4. Football Manager SeriesWhen it comes to games that get you addicted, this is the grand puba. I've spent so many late nights trying to come up with effective formations for my chosen team. The realism is always on point and is by the best in the football management genre.5. Starfox 64This was the first video game ever, that required the use of the controller rumble pack. This game was too sick, everything from the graphics to the story/plot content, everything was on point.Honourable Mentions: Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Perfect Dark, Mario Tennis 64, Turok 64

1. Metal Gear SolidOnly used to play the first level round my mates house and some of the second level didnt realise there was a deep storyline and hours of playing time. Then a while later my brother rented it for a few days and we both got hooked. ended up missing school pretending to be sick and renting it couple more times so we could complete it. second one was even better imo and the third's storyline with eva and the big boss is probably the best from a game ever no wonder theyre making a film. 2. SMB 3first game i ever played and still one of my favorites, dont need to say much else bout mario.3. Pro Evoive owned every single one since playstation one days of ISS after rinsing the n64 version round my mates4. GTA San Andreassimply cos of the levels of independance you had to go off and do your own thing. plus all the tunes on radio los santos were bangersIn my opinion theyre head and shoulders above any of my other favs, putting a 5th down would undermine the top 4 tbh.but ill give a shout to mario kart, tekken, and capcom vs marvel (very sick game)

(in no particular order)FF7clocked it in the year 2000 or somethin cba to remember, disregarding the graphics (even though the graphics during the movie sequences were revolutionary at the time), possibly one of the greatest games ever imo, the materia system, summons, character and plot development, the side quests everything is flawless, the characters draw you in and you feel like you know each one of them individually. been playing it recently on my PSP, complete crack has me sayin ''1 more hour plz''Sonic 3 & Knucklestimeless platformer with a replayability factor of a 100, from climbing walls, to collecting emeralds the game is just sheer fun. adding knuckles to the game makes it a whole different game to play through with different levels and new places to reach. this game holds too much sentimental value for me, grew up playing it and i still play it every now and then.Metal Gear Solidprobably the first stealth em up that i played, it changed shooting games for me, lol @ thinking any other shooting game makes you feel like your the character like does this. best bad guy ever, i think the killer for this game was deciding who you wanted to keep alive at the end, i chose otacon just for the stealth thing tbh.Chrono Triggerzrastboss knows!! this must be the best RPG of its time, the depth and characters of it is so sick and makes you how the f*ck did they managed to get all of this onto a 2D game!? after i finish GTA4 and FF7 (again) i'm definitely gonna play this again. cnt wait to smash lavos' headtop again. The GTA Series lol @ this needing a reason to be in the top 5 selected. but ill say anyway, GTA 1,2 & london, were SICK, dnt care what anyone says, the missions (blowing up factories for yakuzas etc lol), the cars and the whole city were sick, also the way that you CANNOT escape the tanks is f*cked, you can hide but eventually you have to come out. lol the cars were nuts, jumping ramps to get into the prison and sh*t. when i heard that they were making it 3D my instant reaction was, this is going to be the best game ever, had to pre-order i still remember falling down the stairs and landing infront of it on the day it came through my letter box, i was the first person to get it out of my bredrins cause no one really knew about it at first, so when they were watching me play it thy were shocked, it was too surreal at the time the way you were so FREE, no path to follow just steal cars kill peeps explore the huge new city, the length and freedom of this series makes it what it is and it can only get better, can't wait for GTA4 next week, probably gonna fail my exams, time well spent imo.

Fifa 98: Road to the world cup. Respect where its due.TBH Im a Fifa basher, I bloody hate fifa these days but after being a megadrive and Snes head the PS1 came about, soon after came the football game for which every football game today should be thankful for.Final fantasy 7. Cos you felt it too.The greatest story ever told in a computer game, simple as.I dare someone to argue with that statement.Metal Gear Solid. A PS1 game?!?This is a game that could compete with any game out today in the same genre.Mario 64. Lay the pipe.I was only able to play this game for 2 weeks, best 2 weeks of my gaming life. The perfect controls made this the ultimate computer game with its fluidity. The bar got raised after this game cos we expected more from the rest.Halo: Combat evolved Turn on the console and listen to the hyme. It basically said this is what a console FPS should be like, and it was, it was. From the mad attempt to get off the ship, to the first introduction of the flood (A bricking feeling only increased when played on the legendary setting) to the mad dash for survival at the end. Many have been called a potential "Halo Beater" so you know it sets the standard

Skola's Top 5 Games *in no particular order*Killer InstinctULTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!I'l never forget when i busted my first untra combo with Orchid. (down-forwad + B, Y)This game was SICK! So many hidden bits and pieces: combo breakers, ultra combos, ultimate combos, etcIt just seemed so different at the time, and i dont remember any game with linking combos that worked in the same way, PLUS, ultra combos of like 20+ hits allways impress a young boy.Goldeneye/Perfect DarkI put these games together because perfect dark works on the same engine as golden eye, and nostalgia value aside perfect dark was probably a better game overall: up to 8 bots playing with 4 human controlled players was MAYHEM!! they all had different characteristics like kazisim which would just go all out and attack with whatever it had, and the opposite was peacesim which would come up and disarm you if you had a gun, then there was vengesim which would pursue the last person who killed it, ah the memories.plus, the awards at the end of the game, killmaster, survivor etc added a little extra.Goldeneye....wow.The one player was sick, and the bonus levels at the end seemed impossible difficult.I used to allways play on license to kill so any gun killed you straight away, this made for a much more challenging game, you needed more skill and a combination of reading the radar and other peoples screens in order to strafe round a corner to hit them first shot.Mario kart 64so this is taking a bit longer than i thot it wouldanywayMultiplayer heaven. Wether it was racing or in battle mode (which was sick) this game was truely multi player fun.3 red shells, 3 green shells, invincible, loosing your balloons and becoming a bomb, the blocks battle level where the floor became a see of shells to dodge.the races were frustratingly difficult at points, warios level where you could fall off so many place, and that bit in the star level where you could jump at the big hill and fly for a few seconds.wcw vs nwo: revencemy favorite wrestling game of all time.a few summers were spent playing this game, weapons, special moves, the whole lot. classic.golden AXEyup, axe, not eye again.i enjoyed a few side scrolling games, this being the best one. the wee guy with the big axe was the one, normal attacks, special moves, having to jump and avoid falling into holes, this game was sick. (i keep saying that lol).now, i have a bunch of games i would have prefered to include in a top 10 but these are a few which i have fond memories of.

no order reallymgs- the game was just incredable, i dusted it off a couple of months back and had a play, sick story linehalo- i spent so much time on this game, my friend used to host an invite only 16 player with all the best players from a few schools ( im embarrased to even say that) so the room was full of swetty 15 year olds. good fun tho. and i completed every level on every difficulty setting.Gran turismo a-spec- again just spent so long playing it and got hooked. its one of those game you can play for AGES becuase there is always something you havent won, a car u want to save up for etc.GTA- S-A- Obvious really, the maps were huge, huge verity of stuff to do and see, and took some playing to get it all done.Rainbox 6 black arrow- just for the online really
