Picking out prospects is such a hard thing to do. Not because it's hard to identify who's technically gifted, moreso, at 16-19, you can't really tell what their mentality is like.

"'Edwards has an introverted personality that is often misunderstood' This is often the issue with players labelled as 'bad actors'. It's significant that Edwards doesn't even promote himself on social media, his Instagram remains dormant but he seems well liked by teammates.

All the stories about him remind me so much of Ravel Morrison. Everyone who coached him, suggested their were issues with timekeeping, but all coaches who played him were rewarded with performances on the pitch. When their minutes are restricted, nobody wins.

Maybe they do need to be indulged slightly, but off the field problems are exaggerated when they're not given the chance to offer anything on the pitch. When they do, they generally remain happy and becomes easier to coach in general. All these kids want to do is play football.

We've all been to school, we all have seen for ourselves how young people react differently in different environments and with different teachers (coaches). Some need indulging to earn their trust, and quite honestly, some just need help but are never going to ask for it. "

Shame it didnt work out but sending him to Farke was never going to boost his confidence. He was never gonna get a look in over their senior players when they have nothing to play for.

This summer might be make a break for him with spurs, needs a good loan where he plays every week and a manager who understands him.
