First and foremost I will say RIP, what happened to Ben Kinsella was obviously totally unjust and wrong.But why are the media so obsessed with london teen murder 17? Why did they move on within a matter of hours after murder number 16? Is it because he is the sister of a celebrity? Or is it because The Metropolitan police commissioner, Sir Ian Blair was totally correct when he said that the media were "Institutionally racist for regularly relegating the murders of people from ethnic minorities to a paragraph on page 97"?The Mirror have even begun a stop knives campaign that uses the murder of Ben Kinsella as the focus point. They've printed this on a few t-shirts:Do the other 16 murders, and of course the 18th that happened this weekend, just not matter as much?So why is the focus of the teen murders in London being placed largely on Ben Kinsella?Is it celebrity obsession?Is it racism?Is it our class orientated society?
