c/s 100%nani hasn't really impressed me since he's been at the club to be honest. yeah he's scored a couple of breath-taking goals, i'll give him that, but it just seems like he lacks intelligence and composure when he has possession of the ball. can't see him reaching the heights of his fellow compatriot ronaldo

^^^ Thank god you just said that the comments made by some of the ppl on here had me thinking i was going mad to be honest if you ignore all the youtube clips from b4 he signed 4 us and the couple of highlights last season, the guys done nothingmost frustrating player i've ever seen in the shirt and i include Veron and Forlan in that list

What your saying bout him playing running football is slightly worrying coz i cant remember him beating a man for pace on the outside and most the ppl i talk too think this is his main problem he seems scared to run at ppl if you take away his performance vs Arsenal in the cup his goal against spurs and boro what else was there that made you think "ohh he's a good player"his crossing is good sometimes but he gives the ball away too often and lacks end product and his passing isn't even decent at timesyes you could say the same about Ronaldo but the difference is from Ronaldo's 1st game up untill now theres excitment and expectation when he gets onto the ball even though his first season was quite wastefull you got the sense he was gonna worry defenders and take them on (just like a winger should do)With Nani you expect nothing apart from the times he cuts in and unleashes a screamer and even those are few and far between Veron was better in his 1st season than Nani was and we all know how that ended up he's gotta improve big time 17 million should buy you certified quality not hopefull potential

I always thought Veron was good for you. He just used to get bullied on the pitch by his own team mates.I always get the impression Nani is a bit scared to be in possession too long like he things he is going to get clattered at any given moment. He can beat players, you see him do it in internationals, he used to do it in Portugal and he does it occaisionally for you lot. He just doesn't have that relaxed confidence like CR7 had. I think he is a better prospect than Ashley though.

Trust me he isn'tAshley Young has pace Can Beat a man Can deliver a cross Can cut inside and shoot from a decent range and he's English so there was more chance in him becoming loyal to the team yet we paid 7 million more for Nani than Villa paid for Young Nani was bought due to Quieroz wanting him and Fergies almost annoying obsession with the Champions league he wasn't bought with the league in mind to be honest i miss the days off Kanchelskis, Giggs and Lee Sharpe ripping man up for fun on the wings or even David Beckham putting a ball on someones head in the box from out wideand on Veron he was a victim of the bandwagonists and Fergies inability to realise he couldn't play Scholes, Keane, Beckham and Veron together something the Fergie of late 80's-99 would've realised and had the balls to drop one of them

Smh I can't even be bothered sometimes,Nani first season>>>Ronaldo first 2 seasons.Nani will be as good if not better then Ronaldo that if he fulfills his potential like Ronaldo did. Meh same guys saying Ronaldo had no end product, he just a show pony, doesn't turn up for the big games etc will be eating their words.

i don't rate ashley young that highly TBHhe's been a better premiership performer than nani,1 is immediately on the team sheet and the other isn't..i think nani will be better in the long termnani needs to have better decision making and be consistent with it be a bit more direct tooyoung is effective thoughplays the percentages with his crosses and dead ball situations9/10 looking to run at the defence using his pacecuts inside as well as goes on the outsidebig season for him

what a guy...i already told you about this once already, watching sky sports an reading blogs on the internet dont mean you understand the game...if you think you can teach a 21 year old, whos been playing international football for 2 years now brand new things then you are crazyhe will improve yes, but anything he will ever have as a footballer besides experience he already has now...

Whereas i don't really agree with him not being able to learn anything else now I just don't think he'll learn enough in the next few years to be a higly effective premiership player week in week out and thats what we need on the wings i also agree with the point you made about Ronaldo coming as a boy and Nani being a manas i said before in Ronaldo's 1st 2 season with United everytime he got on the balll there was excitment and expectation With Nani quite frankly sometimes you get the feeling people know whats gonna happen and aren't excited by it at all he needs to start utilising his reported pace and dribling abilty he can cross a ball better than Ronaldo could in his first 2 seasons but thats it his couple of long range screamers last season saved him from being openly slewed by united fans last season Question for supporters of other teams, do you fear your defence comiung up against Nani or Ashley young more ?i bet i know what the answers are gonna be
