Afternoon VIP2,

I'm looking to broaden my experience of the world, fed up of getting up every day and having to face the streets of Bolton.

Saved up around £1,200 so far and was looking for some advice from anyone on here who could advise a good holiday for a single adult that you should experience?

I'm not really in to the Spanish resorts, I want to go somewhere I can tell the grand kids in the future and come up with the idea of maybe one of those Safari's? but I think you're looking at over £2,500.

Any recommended websites also would be appreciated.

Friendly place, not really much tourism but very nice. It's Africa's answer to Jamaica. Very laid back. Weed is dirt cheap, cops will stop you often looking for bribes, don't cost much.

And like in London we say "safe" - in Malawi just pound fists and say "bo-bo".

They call weed CHAMBA, it is illegal but everyone smokes it, go to the Lake and Senga Bay area, you can get bags full for the equivalent of £2-5

Barcelona was sick.

Much better than the last spontaneous visit.

Did the typical tourist visits; parc guell, camp nou, guadi's houses etc...

Was nice when not so busy. Would have been extra special had it been 20+ degrees, but was a good chill.

My holiday there has come to about 800 for a self catering hotel. First time I'll be there in a hotel so will definitely report back.

Just got back from Bali. This trip was a lot more fun than the last time I was there.

Stayed in 2 villas. The first was in Seminyak, a place called The Samaya

The second was Alila Villas in Uluwatu, about 30mins drive from the first
