Who knows? It was just two clips they showed at a convention in the states. They show them and let them speak for themselves, they might be a part of the storyline or not?! But yeah, if they are true, it would seem they have changed the future - the numbers are now lucky for hurley, and the plane never crashed. Also, in the first video there are lookalikes for me(locke), jack&kate and michael n walt sitting in the diner, watch again.
Also, I swear that guy serving on the left kinda looks like Ben. They show him in the background for a split second.

Yeah I read the Esau theory as well, I'm hoping everything is original and they've actually just introduced these ideas to create speculation.I though the 'loophole' was the whole destruction thing, and that he'd change it so it wouldn't end in destruction that Jacob said it will always end in.
250px-Jacob-angel.jpgScenery look familiar?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JacobThe Bible says he was the son of Isaac and Rebecca, the grandson of Abraham and Sarah and of Bethuel, and the twin brother of Esau. He had twelve sons and one daughter by his two wives, Leah and Rachel, and their maidservants, Bilhah and Zilpah. The children were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, daughter Dinah, Joseph, and Benjamin.[1] Before the birth of Benjamin, Jacob is renamed "Israel" by an angelic being, the name after which the modern nation of Israel is named.

Other things to look out for are Jack Shephard's dad's name being 'Christian' and also the last name of 'Shephard' which is included in many prayers i.e. 'The lord is my shepard' and you will notice that one of the episodes is actually called psalm 23 (think either in series 2 or 3)The Island itself could sybolise purgatory which could mean that when they crashed on that island, they were already dead and that's why no one can conceive on the island. Claire's baby died with her which explains how her baby survived.

John Locke (pronounced /lɒk/; 29 August 1632 – 28 October 1704) was an English philosopher. Locke is considered the first of the British empiricists, but is equally important to social contract theory. His ideas had enormous influence on the development of epistemology and political philosophy, and he is widely regarded as one of the most influential Enlightenment thinkers, classical republicans, and contributors to liberal theory. His writings influenced Voltaire and Rousseau, many Scottish Enlightenment thinkers, as well as the American revolutionaries. This influence is reflected in the American Declaration of Independence.[1]Locke's theory of mind is often cited as the origin for modern conceptions of identity and "the self", figuring prominently in the later works of philosophers such as David Hume, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Immanuel Kant. Locke was the first philosopher to define the self through a continuity of "consciousness". He also postulated that the mind was a "blank slate" or "tabula rasa"; that is, contrary to Cartesian or Christian philosophy, Locke maintained that people are born without innate ideas, and that knowledge is instead determined only by experience derived by sense perception.[2]reference:Hume as in DESMOND HUMERousseau as in that crazy French Bitch Danielle RousseauScottish as in Desmond Hume.

These are my own findings. The writer is smart. He does not want it to be obvious. Just like the author/s of the bible. Everything is linked in the same way, just with different symbols, names, events etc.The reason why it is unpredictable because if we compare this to now and in the real world, the world has not ended yet so we are unsure of the future ourselves. However this ends, it is just an ideology to how the world will end one day. If we turn to the bible, everyone is judged at the very end and only those worthy are rewarded and allowed to enter God's kingdom. Notice Benjamin said he needed to be judged by the black smoke monster.I think that the Island is the kingdom and whoever wins this war will take ownership of that kingdom and of the Earth. This is why pressing the button was saving the world. The Swan sucks everything metal in and in a sense symbolizes sucking in everything around it. It is possible it could suck everything into hell and this would destroy any chance of saving anything good.If that makes any sense?

Also.. daniel faraday?Danielseason5.jpgcheck this out...Michael Faraday, FRS (22 September 1791 – 25 August 1867) was an English chemist and physicist (or natural philosopher, in the terminology of the time) who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.Faraday studied the magnetic field around a conductor carrying a DC electric current, and established the basis for the electromagnetic field concept in physics. He discovered electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism, and laws of electrolysis. He established that magnetism could affect rays of light and that there was an underlying relationship between the two phenomena.[1][2] His inventions of electromagnetic rotary devices formed the foundation of electric motor technology, and it was largely due to his efforts that electricity became viable for use in technology.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Faraday

I am not saying anything. I am just pointing the obvious. Just because you like to use the name John Locke, don't think you are special mate.
I am just pointing out what I see you doing. Just because you like to use the name Benjamin Disraeli, don't think you are special mate.

I don't think I am special. That is the difference between me and you. I KNOW that I am special.
