Da dumbest ting ever was to rest players for a UEFA Cup game, some loser attitude.Seriously what is the point of being in the Champions League, if you cant handle a 2-legged tie against CSKA in the middle of the season.Now i know for a fact even if they finish 4th which is tough, they would still have to qualify which means playing the likes of Sevilla or AC Milan. Do i see them winning a 2-legged tie against them, no. Then they could end up in the UEFA Cup again.Not only that, losing games never helps, look how they lost following games. It plays on the morale of the team. Players like Ashley Young & Agbonlahor deserve to be playing in the latter stages of the UEFA Cup. And especially with their run-in, that is tough. However i hope they wont make it, their style of football sucks, rather see West Ham get into the CL or Man City at least we might have a chance of seeing Kaka playing Prem.

But at the start of the season when they were playing 2 months early to get in UEFAThey wernt planning on being in the situation they were before the CSKA game. Objectives had to change aswell as priorites.IMO this was inevitable as most of these players play week in week out and havent Villa played something like 45 games this season????No doubt they were gonna fade sooner or later
