I think JD Williams is perennially-confined to 'youth runnin wild' roles. In Oz, he 22 was playing an 18 year old, in this he was 25 playing a 16 year old. By the time he's pushing 60 he should be graduating onto late-20s/early-30s 'leading man' roles, like a black Michael DouglasI think the point of the beatdown was to show the status quo between the police and the corner boys. The cops are rough with them, but they know that retaliating is just foolish and against their own self-interest. Like Face Off said, Bodie was probably just flaring up to impress the olders. Sure it's brutality, but they weren't just picking on him because he was a kid. We never see Stringer/Avon/etc get beats from the police because none of them are stupid enough to start swinging during a raidSometimes you forget how much of a self-righteous, holier-than-thou twat McNulty is.
