Wenger the silly c*nt could have got him for 16 mil last season apparently
He was never going to go to Arsenal
How you know that?
Even thou Alonso most probs wanted to leave last year because of the whole Barry/Rafa thing... He was loyal in the sense that he woudnt join a English rival...
Alright mate... He was gone if Wenger met the price.
Did Wenger tell you that? :D
Smh."Where's Alonso now?, Where's Alonso now?"This the guy your arguing for regarding loyalty. :D
AT MADRID... Like i said He was loyal in the sense that he woudnt join a English rival. Furthermore why would we sell him to Arsenal? Furthermore why would he sign for that sinking ship?
A season ago he was being pushed out the door to raise the p for Barry. He would have gone wherever the f*ck he could be it Juventus or Arsenal, but neither came up with the money, do you really think in 2009 clubs are bidding for players without getting word from the player that he'd join?! Are you forgetting your manager opened the season with Plessis ahead of him? Smh.

"It is flattering to be linked with such big clubs but I'm a Villa player," said the 24-year-old, who claimed that he has never felt the need to discuss interest from other clubs with O'Neill this summer. "I'm exceedingly happy here. I have two and a half years left on my contract and I'm delighted to be playing for the club. Of course I can [stay for the rest of that contract]. I'm delighted with the way things have gone since I came. The ambition is bigger and bigger.""It does not enter my head whether Barcelona or Real Madrid are watching me or not," he said. "As long as I'm playing well for Villa and I'm happy and the manager is happy, that's the main thing. I don't need anyone else to tell me that I'm doing well unless it's the manager here or the England manager."
Needs to get that England spot for the World Cup - and inturn push Gerrard back into midfield and leave lardarse Barry on the bench.

According to Rome-based daily Il Messaggero, Italian international midfielder Alberto Aquilani is ready to turn his back on his hometown club Roma and commit his long-term future to Premier League giants Liverpool.‘Il Principino’ has allegedly agreed a five-year contract with the Anfield outfit worth €4 million-per-season.However, Liverpool have yet to enter formal discussions with the Lupi as Aquilani’s move to England is directly tied to Xabi Alonso’s future, with the Spaniard reportedly on the verge of finalising a move to Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid.Aquilani only penned a new contract with the Giallorossi last May, tying him to the Olimpico until June 2013, but president Rosella Sensi is prepared to sacrifice the youth product to ease the club’s financial problems and is hoping to get at least €20m out of the deal.Meanwhile, Roma have reportedly turned down the chance to sign Nigerian striker Victor Obinna on loan from Inter, setting their sights on Milan winger Ignazio Abate instead.

Real Madrid are prepared to offer Liverpool a choice of Alvaro Negredo, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or Rafael Van der Vaart as part of the deal to take Xabi Alonso to the Bernabeu as the Spanish club try to break the deadlock surrounding one of the summer’s longest-running transfer sagas.

"Wenger has called me," he told L'Equipe."He told me he has a list of forwards and Marouane is one of the names on it."However, I expect this could be a complex case which could become a soap opera."
