He's going to struggle to hold down a 1st team place at Arsenal and if he has half the career as Robert Pires did here then he'll be a good buy.

Here's were you're malfunctioning, I said if Santi Carzorla can have half the career at Arsenal as Robert Pires has then he would be a decent buy which means you halve the 7 trophies he's won and imply that if Santi could win 3.5 trophies in his 4 year contract he would be a good buy obviously that's statistics but what they don't tell you is how influential Robert was and the relationship he had down the left flank, of course every time he got the ball we looked dangerous.

I've Cesc Fabregas is a better SPANISH Midfielder than Santi Carzorla stating reasons in on the pitch characteristics as to why I believe this so why you're comparing Cesc's Arsenal achievements with Pires is totally mind boggling - maybe you need to just leave the PC come back and reassess your situation? the fact you've even somehow managed to confuse the quoting system suggest you've have no idea what you're talking about.

Your confusing me for someone that gave a shit about your argument with Porchy...

1. I took except to you saying you went to a football match, cos your a liar and 2. I was highlighting that saying half of Robert Pires career is better than some players who are called Arsenal legends, ala Cesc Fabregas, so don't throw it around lightly tbh...

Arsène Wenger has once again entrusted Owen Coyle with the development of one of his top prospects, after allowing Benik Afobe to move to Bolton on loan.

Arsenal have accepted loan offers from both Millwall and Bolton for the 19-year-old, and Afobe has opted to move to the latter, after Wenger gave the switch his blessing earlier this week.

Afobe, who has also spent time on-loan with Huddersfield Town and then Reading, had been promised a fringe role in Wenger’s first-team setup next season, but will snub that opportunity to ramp up his development under Coyle’s tutelage.

A powerful, strong and hard working striker, Afobe has been chased by a number of clubs ranging from the lower half of the Premier League, to his former hunting ground of League One, but he will move to Bolton after they gave him guarantees over playing time.

It’s a smart decision from a kid who is clearly switched on, and proactive in his own personal development. Afobe follows close friends Jack Wilshere and more recently Ryo Miyaichi, in sparkling at one of the best finishing schools in England – the Bolton first-team.

The details are expected to be made public before the weekend.

Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Santi Cazorla from Malaga CF.

Cazorla is due at London Colney tomorrow for a medical and is set to sign a €21million deal, and become Arsenal’s third major summer signing, following the arrival of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud.

Arsene Wenger has been after the Spain international midfielder for the past two seasons, missing out last summer to Malaga, but the Andalusia club’s much publicised financial troubles have provided the opportunity for Arsenal to get their man.

Wenger has been after an attacking midfield player to provide more goals and assists from midfield following last seasons’ dependance upon Robin Van Persie. Arsenal were also interested in Brazilian Ganso and Dortmund’s Mario

Goetze, but once Cazorla became available they wasted no time in sealing the deal.

Cazorla will become Arsenal’s record signing.

I reckon jenkinson will turn out a decent player still.

Nuff peeps dont rate him but I think he was thrown in the deep end way too early.

Potential is there.

I get what you're saying I just despise that word when it comes to Arsenal.

Sahin & Podolski on the same team could be interesting...

Last training session of the week at La Rosaleda

Since their return to Málaga on Tuesday, Manuel Pellegrini’s team had their second training session of the week this Thursday morning in La Rosaleda, ahead of their mini-tour of Italy and Greece getting underway tomorrow.

The session began with continuous running, rounds, various ball exercises, and ending with a practice match. Santi Cazorla was the only player absent from this morning’s session, with permission from the Club. Keepers Willy, Kameni and Pol worked separately from their team mates, alongside goalkeeping coach Xavi Mancisidor.

The team is preparing for their trip to Salerno tomorrow, for their friendly against Juventus on Saturday. They’re then travelling to Athens to face Olympiakos.
