Every club, has to have a philosophy/a plan...

Ours was to compete with Man Utd whilst being self-made, hence needing a bigger stadium... Which Man Utd had over us.

That plan was before Chelsea and City, who are not self-made and considered "the clubs you go to for greed" and thats the argument Wenger has always been able to fallback on or explain and why I personally think he prefers to sell players to them and then take the "financial doping" high road.

But we have that stadium, yet we are seling our captain, top goalscorer, league & club player of the year to... Manchester United...

Hence it being a PR nightmare and there is no spin Wenger can sell at all. Which is why I await his quotes.

But short of blaming van Persie, which Wenger won't do, the board might, then they have nothing else.
