Emmanuel Frimpong has joined Fulham on loan for the remainder of the 2012/13 season.

The 21-year-old midfielder has recently returned from a six-week loan spell with Championship side Charlton Athletic, where he featured six times for the Add*cks.

Frimpong, who battled back from a seven-month injury lay-off in September 2012, has also appeared twice for the Arsenal first team this season - in the Capital One Cup victories over Coventry City and Reading.

The Ghanaian-born youngster came through the Arsenal academy, which he joined as an 11-year-old, and played a key role in the Club’s 2009 FA Youth Cup victory. He has so far made 16 first-team appearances for the Gunners.

Everyone at the Club wishes Emmanuel the best of luck during his time with Fulham.

on if he needs a new striker…

Quality-wise no, number-wise, we could be a bit short maybe. Gervinho is not here at the moment. We have Walcott, who can play through the middle and then of course Giroud.

on if he’ll try to sign a new striker…

You do not find them in the street, the strikers that can play for us and strengthen our team. It’s difficult in January.

on if he’s made an offer or enquiry for Stevan Jovetic…

No.

on if he’s confident of signing a midfielder…

I cannot tell you that. In this kind of job it is realism that is important. Realistically I cannot tell you I will sign anyone tomorrow, or Tuesday, as we are not close to doing it.
