The Summer Transfer Thread

I think he was brought for the future , we have some aging strikers up top now (Drogba & Anelka)Watching Chelsea in recent pre-season games , and it looks like he gives the top 3 the freedom to rotate. I feel Sturridge is going to be deployed at RW, but i dont think that will affect him too much!Good luck to Lukaku , hope he makes a good career for himself here!

I woukd agree with you if the youth coming through were sh*t. But sadly they have to the potential to be some of the most f*cked players on the planet. Welbeck, pogba, Morrison etc. Sorry mate.
Morrison might not make it with all the problems his had, Welbeck is good but i don't see him becoming a world class player at all, a bit overrated to be honest i remember when United fans were telling me he was better than Sturridge smh.Pogba is the only i can see becoming a real top quality player, but yh is that all you've got?
is sturridge better than welbeck tho?i know who id rather have in my team.
Yep more technically gifted.

Planet you knowEngland maybe but the planet? No chance
The best players in England are usually among the best players on the planet. Rooney, rio, ash cole etc. All have had decent claims for being top 5 in their position in the world. All will become clear soon though. And all you dons will e saying I knew about Pogba from time. Like all the rest of the fickle fans. The potential these kids have is frightening.
To be honest Wellbeck doesn't have the talent Rio or Rooney had at a similar age, his a good player but thats where it ends for me, i don't see him becoming a world class player and at the current moment he is certainly not one of the best young players on the planet, neither is Morrison. or Pogba for that matter.

Just neg'd for the sake of it.Imagine --Sandro--Diarra -------Luka-----------VDV---------Bale------New Striker-----With Lennon in as well. We need a new winger tbh, someone who can play on both wings 'cause Bale and Lennon always have a poor run of games. We need a new CB. And if we get rid of Keane and Crouch, 2 strikers./We haven't signed anyone officially yet, knowing us, we'll lose him cause of 500k

In-demand midfielder Wesley Sneijder claims Inter Milan will sell him for the right price, but denies speaking with Manchester United or Manchester City.Sneijder claims Serie A giants Inter "need money" in the latest twist in the ongoing transfer saga, with the Holland international their most valuable asset. It will take a mammoth offer, though, and 27-year-old Sneijder plans to take a break after the Netherlands' friendly against England at Wembley while his future is decided."All I know is that Inter need money and that I'm for sale if the right offer comes in," Sneijder told Voetbal International."I have five days off after the friendly against England on Wednesday. I expect clarity on my future by then."I can be very brief about the interest from Manchester United and City - I haven't spoken with either of those two clubs, so I can't really say much about my future at the moment."United are thought to have courted the former Real Madrid man all summer, while City boss Roberto Mancini has denied having any interest.
