kompressor i dont think they would put that on the front page regardless of if there was riots or not was the smiley culture thing questioned on the front pages??
Exactly, it would have been reported in the Guardian and a few of the other broadsheets but would it have sparked a debate across all of the media? I highly doubt it.

You think this news wouldnt have come out eventually had there been no rioting? the only difference would be it would be on the front page not pushed into the paper,
I was listening to Canadian radio (AM 640) and heard Mark Duggans name.They only mentioned his name in relation to kicking off the riots, his name wouldn't have spread so far otherwise.This whole thing would have been swept under the carpet, like the police and IPCC ALWAYS do.Now it can't be hidden because the riots, however stupid and ill executed, have brought Mark Duggans name to a wider scope.The people who had negative opinions of black youth didn't need the riots to form them, the media have played their part over the years in helping form these stereotypes so I don't know why people are looking for them to help us now.One thing is for sure, the police will be more wary and less trigger happy the next time they are following a young black male in a car.

These kids need leadership. Looting JD wasn't the best idea.HOWEVERThey have a right to be pissed off.A generation that's been constantly failed by the systemThey are truly the voice of the unheard and we all know what language those people speakOrganise yourselves and really do this properly. The situation has grown beyond the circumstances relating to Mark Duggan's death (condolences to his family) and now the revolution is beginning.A system designed to criminalise and trap badly educated young people into a cycle of poverty is being tossed out by these same young people.Let's join them and together, burn this f*ck*ng town downnnn

It's hard enough just getting IN to a secondary school...I struggled and got no help from my school at any point, they don't careThey just want you to do well to get top leaderboard places
