Take the flashbacks for an instance 

 

Lucious mum is Kelly Rowland but we have a light skin woman(Kizzy from Roots) playing his mum.

 

The Sons are brown skin in the flashbacks .

When Rhonda got pushed her phone wasn't vibrating but however in the flash back we see her phone vibrating with Andre's name flashing on the screen.

In The last episode of this current series 

Uncle LL said him and Anika got engaged in D.C which is wrong because we saw them get engage at his house which is in NY.

TV/film ignore complexion when casting for the most part. the casting advert says "black" and the best applicant fitting that description is chosen, they don't say "he's too dark to be his child" etc

on the other hand, whoever did the album art work clearly wanted it to look biologically possible

They show you something else in the flashback and when it comes to the now you see something complete different which is nonsense why have the flashback in the first place?

the flashback is the person putting their own mental spin on how they remember it.
