The Club is pleased to announce that following a meeting of the London Borough of the Haringey Planning Sub-Committee on June 22, our application to incorporate a basement on the new stadium site has been approved.

This permission will allow us to move the already consented car parking into the basement level, alongside plant and storage, in order to allow us to free up space at the ground floor level to be allocated to other operational requirements including enhanced media facilities and extended player changing areas.

With works now progressing on the stadium site, the Club is continuing to refine the detailed design of the stadium, which was originally produced in 2008, to ensure it is optimised and that it meets the latest technical requirements and improvements in stadia design.

Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: “We are delighted that this application has been approved and are grateful for the continued support of the Council for this landmark project.

“We shall, in the coming weeks, be providing further information on these updated elements with the intention of carrying out a period of consultation during the summer and submitting planning applications later in the year. As we have stated previously, these updates will be running in parallel with the works continuing on the ground.”

Looks like we will be building the new stadium to suit NFL spec then.....

Who remembers the tears of joy from the Spuds on here when Tottenham "stole" Holtby from Arsenal and Everton... That genius Levy again, stole the march on everybody and signed him in January...

Dunno why you are saying that like its a bad thing, bought him for 1.5m, 2 loan fees & 5m later hes gone.

It was the arsenal fans on here making the most noise about not signing him.

Looking back at that window, I have to concede that AVB got rid of a LOT of deadwood.

I used to look at THFC 13/14 as one of the worst transfer windows in history, but considering the outbounds I'll hand that trophy to Brendan.

As for AVB sucking the ability out his signings thats gas. Each and every one was a risk and unproven 105K on risks is unacceptable.

Every signing in football is a risk.  'Unproven' risks is how we sold the most expensive player in the history of the sport.

However, Spain's #1 striker was a unproven risk? :/

Guess it's the same as signing the CL final MOTM for 60 mil being unproven.  6 months later he's being Ashely's Young Sideman.

Like i said, our signings  have neither improved us or made us worse off.  We actually made a profit that window, just like every other window.

There's a clear difference on how players were playing when they first came to us compared to 10 games down the line.  AVB stole all the flair out of everyone and made Townsend and Sigs his top 2 players, that's why he got sacked.

AVB got rid of no one btw, it was all Baldini.  AVB was happy with Brad Friedal in goal and wanted Hugo to rot on the bench until Media slaughtered him.

Signing Gareth Bale was low steaks low risk. Spending 105m of his proceeds is high steaks, and each signing has been demonstrating spice that their success potential was not proven, for better words, guaranteed. Granted Di Maria out-performing at the highest pinnacle of world football did not prove his guanteed success (early to say he can't succeed after one season imo). I don't recall Spurs making a signing of that calibre in their entire history, year you want to call the expectations of Roberto 'one stat wonder' Soldado and a Brazilian pub geezer the same? Come again? For where Harry left you and the resources available the window remains among the worst in PL alongside that of Liverpool and QPR
