nuts how much of the wire is based on real events and how many of the characters are real ppl - jay landsman, bunk, freeman

its why the wire feels kind of authentic cos a lot of the stories, banter etc are taken from what the writer observed when he was shadowing baltimore detectives irl.

She's 30 now so she prob ran that time off on license/probation?

I'm not sure, she got time off one of the sentences, and had one suspended (8 and 8 years respectively)

And even if she has, considering her previous charge (although she was a minor) she may be getting big time for this, if she already isn't off of the basis of this case alone.
