Manchester United manager David Moyes admits he will consider the possibility of sending Wilfried Zaha out on loan in January.

He said in The Sun: "I've said if I couldn't get him a game I would look at it in January.

"I really thought when he came in he needed to be here for six months to see how we work.

"There is competition in the wide areas with Nani, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Adnan Januzaj and even Shinji Kagawa - that makes it one of the areas where we are strong.

"It's not because Wilf has not done enough, it's because we have got big, big competition and there are a lot of players to give some playing time to.

"Unfortunately we've not been able to do that with Wilf. If I can't do a lot for him by January then I will look at it.

"We've not had the right opportunity to introduce him as much as we'd like but he's very much in my plans."

He might aswel have included Welbeck and Giggs in that winger list too

Rooney has officially become the machester united scapegoat of 2013

Fair enough the guys a  fat c*nt  and i personally want him sold in the summer but hes not the only one who needs a good kick up the backside .

Valencia,Nani, jones, carrick, cleverley, young, welbeck, smalling, ferdinan have all been shit this season and they need to a good look at themselves. They have been worse than woonay

Championship to starting for Man U yeah? Clueless f*ck

Instead of your argument being based on the ability and attributes of Zaha vs Valencia and Young it's still based on the simple minded opinion that Zaha shouldn't start ahead of them just because he's coming from the Championship

You really are a stupid c*nt

Some would argue that based on effort and commitment shown for the shirt so far this season, he is one of very few who don't need a kick up the backside.

That's the problem with people like you. You think that because you can stop a few stepovers it makes you a better player. You don't really understand football at all

Young and Valencia are not the greatest but they are better for the team than Zaha is right now

I get what you are  saying but there are still things that he needs to sort out . Like his shitty  touch for one

While Januzaj came from the reserves i expect that he was training with the first team for a while so was more accustomed to playing with players of a higher level

That aside, the reason he has featured and Zaha hasn't is because he is a better player. It's that simple

Valencia and Young are average but you can't deny they are premiership quality something Zaha isn't let own good enough to be starting for the Champions

To think he is good enough based on what he did in the Championship and a few pre season games is just laughable

Darren Fletcher has set his sights on a first-team return after playing for Manchester United's reserves on Monday.

The Scotland international midfielder made his first appearance of the season in a Red Devils shirt when he played for two-thirds of the 2-2 draw between United's Under-21 side and Fulham U21s at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford.

Fletcher has not appeared for the senior United team since coming off the bench late on in the 4-3 home win over Newcastle on Boxing Day 2012.

Shortly after that game, Fletcher underwent planned surgery to resolve the chronic bowel disease ulcerative colitis, thus ending his campaign.

The 29-year-old has been gradually working his way back to fitness and was judged fit enough to play 67 minutes for Warren Joyce's U21s against their Cottagers counterparts.

Goals from young French striker Moussa Dembele and Muamer Tankovic put the visitors in the ascendancy but a Stephen Arthurworrey own goal shortly before the hour mark reduced the deficit and Michael Keane snatched an equaliser three minutes from time.

"I've been training for a few weeks now and the next progression is to get some match-time. I enjoyed it."

Darren Fletcher

Afterwards, Fletcher told MUTV: "It's been a long time, so it's good to get back tonight. I've been training for a few weeks now and the next progression is to get some match-time. I enjoyed it.

"The plan was to get to half-time and see how I felt, then get to 60 minutes and take it from there. Although I felt I could have gone on a bit longer, the plan was not to play more than that so I'm better sticking to the plan and not upsetting the sports science lads.

"They've been great, especially the doc Steve McNally. He's worked closely with me, getting myself right and back and the support from the club has been fantastic - from Sir Alex Ferguson to the new manager and David Gill. Everyone at the club. I couldn't ask for anything better.

"It's been tough. Luckily, I've got a great family around me. They keep me going, keep me motivated and lift me when I'm down. All these factors contributed to me standing here today on the road to recovery."

Fletcher's next target is to play full games with the U21s, and hopefully convince David Moyes he is ready for competitive action once more.

Fletcher: Last first-team outing on Boxing Day 2012

"I just want to be out there to help and do my best," he added. "The aim is to be back in the manager's plans and help on the pitch.

"Although we've not started as well as we'd have liked, it was a very tough start, and I still expect us to kick on in the next few weeks.

"[A return is a] question for David Moyes. I'm going to hopefully have a few more Under-21 games and finish 90 minutes before trying to work my way into the squad. If I get a chance, I've got to be ready to take it."

He understandbly didn't look fantastic last night, did well in parts but has a very long way to go.

Seen a few interesting "debates" on twitter about his return to action and it says a lot about the squad that in some sections people are awaiting his return in a similar way to the Cantona return after the kung fu kick.,

Listened to a brief snippet of the Woodward interview last night too and after other info I heard over the weekend I think we're in for very interesting times unless he can have a very steep learning curve.

I'll probably but UWS tonight and read the entire interview.
