how many times has that trophy sat at Old Trafford?
I don't buy into this thing where "who wants to win that" its a trophy! it also offers the fans the opportunity for a few new euro aways.
at very worse it could be an opportunity to give some of the younger players some valuable experience of European football.
I'd rather win the Europa league than reach the quarter finals or even semi's of the Champions league then go out. hell if you offered me a Europa league win or a loss in the champions league final I wouldn't have to think about it too long.
I understand why clubs dont rate it, as they look at the financial gain and costs. When fans start saying things like " we don't care for the Europa league/FA cup coz it pays nothing" I'm baffed
Playing one game a week would give us an advantage over the top 4 teams e.g. look at Liverpool this season
But with the Glazers planning to fly the team to long distance, lucrative matches in the middle east and Asia as an alternative to the Europa league I'd rather the short trip to Europe in the middle of the week so the team doesn’t look fatigued and off the pace in a Prem game a few days later.
There is quality in the Europa, look at Juve, could easily beat atleast 2-3 of the remaining CL contenders yet Conte is 100% on winning it. The attitude is " okay we dropped into Europa League, we have to win it if we're the club we say we are"
Incoming players in the summer wont just be settling for CL,Some of them are competing at Europa level.
Lol at Cleverley giving anyone humble pie, bog standard footballer.
He only made an impression because a couple years back when everybody was infatuated with tiki taka, and thought any old bugger who could constantly recycle 5 yard passes at a 90% accuracy was akin to a Spanish midfielder, and therefore what England needed.
Could see from day he was a decent player and nothing else.

Naming rights. ie alianz , emirates etc.
The most prestigious clubs still possess their rights .. would be an absolute piss take

Wait. Explain.
To get rid of Moyes, Old Trafford will be renamed?

I think they mean, to offset the losses of having no Champions league the naming rights may be sold to keep the profits looking healthy.

yh that, added to the idea that to adequately fill the position they'd probably have to double or close to it the managers salary.
Jose is on £4 million more and Pep is on £10 million more.
any incoming manager would be silly not to look at those salaries and ask for more than the current sum,

Europa at minimum. We have a squad big enough to handle it. Especially with new signings in the summer ANY kind of european comp is good imo.
The league will take care of itself.

I'll answer that with another question,

I wince every time I recall the Bilbao games.

Think we are all overlooking the biggest thing about the EL here
The winners from next year get a place in the CL
Looking at the top 4 this season, the fact its likely Moyes will get another season
We are going to need every different chance we can get, to get into the CL for 2015/2016 season
Fucking hell man this hurts
No CL football

Again? He was good at best at Wigan.
Credit to Man Utd for giving him a go, but he's nowhere near good enough for a top 4 side.
He may improve, but it'll be him that needs to do it. He's not been let down by Moyes, Fergie or Hodgson, he's just not good enough for that level.
The way people talk about him as if he's some genius with limitless untapped potential. It's crazy.
