wondered how De Gea jumped Asenjo in the pecking order/hype

but still a pointless argument like saying this french cognac is better then that french cognac and that italian sports car is better then this italian sports car

you cant really lose with a spanish goalkeeper

well unless you sign a reserve from the segunda

He is fully of mistakes that's why De Gea replaced him!

Now he is back at Atletico after his loan@Malaga they might as well give him another chance as number one

crazy how an uncapped, fourth choice for his national side 'keeper can go for (i think i'm right in saying) the second biggest transfer fee for a 'keeper ever - and universally be seen as good value.

Taken from the BBC site(Its a bit lazy because they failed to mention Neuer)

MOST EXPENSIVE GOALKEEPERS

Gianluigi Buffon - £32.6m

David de Gea - £18.9m*

Angelo Peruzzi - £10.5m

Craig Gordon - £9m

Fabien Barthez - £7.8m

Foster would be 5th

Neuer cost Bayern €18m plus (more or less guaranteed) €7m in bonuses, that's up to £22m in total, and he only had one year left on his contract so imagine if he still had three years left to run what the fee would of been.

Christ, where would that rank Foster if we pay £10m for him?

Wait, what?!

£10 Million for BENJAMIN 'I'm too tired to play football for England' FOSTER?!?

McLeish is a double agent if this happens.

tbh 10 Mill for Foster in the footballing world represents "good value"

he cost 6 when he was second choice, and now after a season playing first choice it'll definitly be more, and i imagine he'll have loads left on his contract too,

plus the age an nationality factor

They paid £6m, he's had a good season and it's them. I was surprised it wasn't more.

They quoted Sunderland £14m for Johnson with a year on his deal

well i take it Johnson will be going for a cut price this season, or a free next season.

ridiculous

reckon he would be better there then left wing

he likes to come inside a lot and has good tekk.... played there a lot for sporting too

but doubt rooney would allow it

thats his position on the pitch

Peterborough United have brought in young Manchester United pair Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wootton on loan.

Midfielder Tunnicliffe, 18, and 19-year-old defender Wootton have yet to make their first-team United debuts.

Wootton, who switched to the Red Devils from the Liverpool academy in 2007, played nine times during a loan spell at Tranmere last season.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirmed the deals on Twitter.

"Gaffer just told me two United lads signed on loan, Tunnicliffe & Wooton signed up," he said on the social networking site.

The length of the loan spells has yet to be confirmed, but it is believed they will both be for the duration of the season.

Tunnicliffe played a key role in United's FA Youth Cup success last season, which culminated in victory over Sheffield United.

Lol at carrick and Anderson. If we don't sign nasri, sneijder or some other form of ard body cm we are f*cked again. Anderson has the potential to be good but f*ck relying on him week in week out the way he's been playing. He needs to earn a spot not be guaranteed it. Carrick needs to go Sunderland with gibbo and oshea.

yes

DM.. Makele mould but with the ability to build from deep

would star in a midfield with carrick & anderson

give carrick a bit more of a license further up the pitch

Correct

I hope SAF realises this and signs Modric as well as Scholes replacement
