i'm all for harsh sentances and better policing but that doesn't tackle the root problem, feeling small and forgotten about and uncared for can all change when u grab someones attention by taking their sh*t (or their life)

we need PREVENTION as well as CURECURE in the short term to try and tackle the violence on the street.but the ROOT of the problem has never been addressed.More money needs invested in PREVENTION but the problem is its a long term investment so people are less interested.Youth clubs, and various schemes to help encourage the people who are likely to commit crime not to.Remember some video about a thing they done in london sumwhere called "manhood"workign with people who had been jail, young guys, to help them get their lifes back on that and be positive people.kept a couple guys out of jail, but it had to close down coz it needed a few 1000 pounds to keep runningthey couldnt get fundingbut the government will fling people in jail for 1000 per week

Armed teenage gang stopped on bus An arsenal of weapons including knives, a baseball bat and screwdrivers were found when police searched a teenage gang on a bus in south-east London. Officers became suspicious when they saw a large number of youths boarding a bus in Evelyn Street, Deptford, on Saturday night, and called for back-up. The youths were locked inside and when searched, 16 weapons were found. A total of 24 teenagers, aged 14-18, were arrested on the top deck and later released on bail. When officers searched the youths they found six knives, two screwdrivers, a corkscrew, a golf club, a metal baseball bat, a mallet, two wrench handles, a claw hammer and a metal bar. The teenagers were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder and later bailed while enquiries continue. Ch Insp Jerry Peppin said: "We are determined to rid our streets of potentially dangerous weapons." Operation Blunt 2 was launched last week to tackle unacceptable levels of serious youth violence, particularly the carrying and use of knives on London's streets.
