I have a LLoyds and a Halifax Account.

I remember one of them trying it when I went in branch to increase the OD saying there needs to be evidence of money being paid in.

So I just upped it online

Be careful. One of the conditions of the free OD is that they expect you to have the loan put into that account. They can, randomly out of nowhere say you're not using the account for student loan purposes etc etc and expect the OD back. Happened to my ex

Apparently the returning student loan application deadline is today, I've tried doing it online but I'm having difficulties with it, tried ringing them but cant get through...what does it mean if I miss the deadline? Further more, why the f*ck do I need to apply again if they've already got my details on the system?

I think the deadline is to ensure that youre guaranteed a loan to be recieved on first day of semester.. anything after is dependent on how fast the student loan women work. They can be pretty sh*t..one time didnt get my grant til april the following year, even thoigh i applied previous july and i was ringing everu couple weeks.

It's more a safety blanket now, caned them both in first year till the point of max od. Worked all last summer to clear em off. This year I've worked xmas, easter and had cheaper accomodation as well as money coming in from part time stuff so been in credit. Might book a massive holiday for when I graduate next summer though on them.

could you get the loan in one, send send it to the other, then split it in half keep 1 half in the second account, then send the other half to the first account?

or do they require it from the actual student finance payment account they send from or something?

You man are over complicating things. All you need to do is keep both accounts active. If you are using both accounts to pay for stuff and money is going in them. You will be fine. The problems happen when people just leave one of the accounts dormant.

Need to do two retakes this week.

I got two diff student finance accounts as if one isn't enough, so much headache, i sent my bank details before the deadline but it was the wrong account.

I'm thinking if I get a job now I might just work till the end of September even though I'm sposed to move in at the start.

Realistically I'm not gonna miss much that won't be repeated and it'll be too hard living in the house if I don't get a job. 495 a month =/

f*ck my uni.

Rolled out a new online results system instead of posting the results. Cost cutting.

System wasn't tested so obviously crashed for about 2 days with the amount of traffic.

When I finally get in the only results that were there was last years so I send an email. No reply. Send another. No reply. I have sent 6 emails and not once have I been replied to. My reults are finally there (only 3 weeks late) and passed second year which Im happy about but they could have at least had the decency to reply to an email. I feel to send one to the dean highlighting my complaints.

1% off a 1st.

Content, but I didn't hand in 4 pieces of coursework. One was worth enough to have got me that 1%. It was to reflect on your work ethic in the year and objectives for the future, but I completely forgot to do it/hand it in, and even upon realising few hours past the deadline, I didn't even bother to attempt at handing it in the next day with loss of a few marks. Disappointed myself.

My parents are also high achievers so they're gonna be raging, despite this only being first year.

Basically me and my boys (mostly the 'sensible by default' one) were looking to move into a student heavy zone, four bedroom, in the middle of town. Then his chick and her friend had a little mix up tiff whatever you wanna call it with their circle and ended up with nowhere to live, so he said they can hop on board, I didn't oppose, they're cool so it's whatever right? But the rent has jumped so drastically for a 6 bedroom, and we're living on the outskirts of town now so far removed from anything of interest apart from the marginalized cambridge underworld..

Talking to everyone else just shows me how much of a bump the price is. It's gonna slaughter my student loan with the first two rent payments. If next year some agreeable fellow worms his way into our friendship circle I'm just gonna offer up my room and look for a studio flat or something.
