Anyone seen Scott Pilgrim vs The World?Having read the graphic novel (as with any adaptation bits are missed out) however I bloody enjoyed the film. Thought the added effects were really cool and made it feel look a video game at times. Loved the 'Seinfeld' reference.Sounds great on the surround sound.Picked up the Banksy film and Family Guy x Star Wars - It's A TrapSo I'll post my views on them sometime.

Currently watching 'Death becomes her' on ITV3, memories come flooding back.
Oh my gosh! Do you know how long I've been trying to find out what this film was called. Daamn. Memories, indeed. All I could ever describe to someone was how it had a scene with two women tumbling down the stairs and their legs snap. (Or something along the lines).Edit: or just the 1 woman

"Exit Through The Gift Shop" - was kewl, nicely put together for the first half talking about the artists, the trouble they went through and how it become a mainstream thing over the years. Quite in depth with Banksy, the bit at Disneyland had me laughing just the fact it's portrayed as this happy place where nothing can be bad or degrading then all you see is this blow up orange jump suit with a black balaclava over the head chained to a fence Guantánamo Bay style then it was all about Thierry (who started shooting/filming the artists at work) now doing his own thing. Something about him just annoyed me maybe it was because he got lucky with Banksy saying, "You now go do a show" (while he made the film). Bits of Thierry's work was nice but we'd seen others do it before, credit to him for being in the right place right time. However if any of you have watched the extras, did you see the film Thierry did put together? It was so amateurish and on the lines of a crazy horror, what was the point of most of it even showing the birth. It has been cut from 90 mins to just over 14 mins yup thats how much the lawyers took out.Banksy may get a lot of stick now days but kudos to him for doing something a little bit different. He worked for it.Family Guy x Star Wars - It's A Trap, I'll need to watch this again cause I was drifting in and out, had some real lol's

Pretty much, it got quite bait once you were about half way through that this guy wasn't real and it was all an elaborate plan by Banksy. But it was put together well./What's the new Coen film called? The one about the girl who wants to kill the guys that killed her fam?

yo jibbles swear youre doing something film/japanese related. is there a site you use to d/l movieswas on a plane yest watching a jap film called chonmage purin and was halfway thru when we started to descend, my fault i shouldnt have wasted my time with salt, but yeah lemme kno where u get ur flicks from
Yup I'm doing that, I buy my films on blu-ray or dvd rarely stream or download unless it is a film I can't wait until we get it over here (late in release) or just not worth me paying money in the cinema for or buying.Other than that a few sites;http://www.onlinemovie4u.net/http://scenereleases.info/http://megarelease.net/Not seen "Salt" one I just wanted to miss out on, Tom Cruise turned down that role and the one in the Tourist.Just had a quick look for 'Chonmage Purin' I did laugh at the synopsis sounds a bit goofy.

Watched Black Swan, slightly disappointed, although it was beautifully put together I found myself asking what the f*ck is going on??

Someone explain to me what all the double personality sh*t was and what it meant and how it ties in with how the film ended? From the scratch on her back, the mum acting weird, her fantasizing and so on?? I really didn't get it or maybe I am just trying to understand something that isn't there?

Reminded me so much of Requiem.

yeah the story is quite cheesy but the samurai lost in modern times appealed to me for some reasonim a bit ocd so ive gotta try and chase it down and watch the ending somewhercan u rec. some good jap ones for me stat, apart from the obvious battle royale and horrors
You willing to watch old ones by Yasujirô Ozu, Akira Kurosawa, both fantastic in their own right. I'll list a few with a quick synopsis from IMDB.Rashomon (1950)Akira KurosawaIn ancient Japan, a woman is raped and her husband killed. The film gives us four viewpoints of the incident - one for each defendant - each revealing a little more detail. Which version, if any, is the real truth about what happened ? Seven Samurai (1954)Akira KurosawaA poor village under attack by bandits recruits seven unemployed samurai to help them defend themselves.Yojimbo (1961)Akira KurosawaA crafty ronin comes to a town divided by two criminal gangs and decides to play them against each other to free the town.If you have ever seen Sergio Leone's 'A Fist Full Of Dollars' this is the film which some say he stole from Kurosawa (who did try to sue Leone)Ran (1985)Akira KurosawaAn elderly lord abdicates to his three sons, and the two corrupt ones turn against him.Ikiru (1952)Akira KurosawaKanji Watanabe is a longtime bureaucrat in a city office who, along with the rest of the office, spends his entire working life doing nothingTokyo Story (1953)Yasujirô OzuAn old couple visit their children and grandchildren in the city; but the children have little time for them.Infact anything by Ozu, he has this distinctive technical style and focuses on families and how generations differ. I'm sure there is a few Hayao Miyazaki fans "Spirited Away", "Princess Mononoke", "Ponyo" (I loved that film), "Castle in the Sky", "Porco Rosso". Japan has so many great films, this is just a tiny portion either of what I have seen, own or have heard about.
