Just got a bar job , now just waiting for orange interview tomorrow.3 jobs and at uni its nice, its nice
I honestly wouldn't recommend that. One job really and truly and you will need to limit the hours on it. The work will get on top of you as well as your academics. If you're first year, it's not so bad, but second year onwards I personally wouldn't recommend it. All about focusing on your studies as much as possible.
Yeh thought about that myself not gonna bother with orange that would get in the way with things, but these 3 jobs i can work round them so its cool

Been for a series of interviews for one job over the last few weeks.Invited me for a 2nd interview and told me I had got down to the final few (from 300-400 applicants). Going back today for a final final interview with one of the big doggs. The job could make major changes for me and mine. Wage isn't even anything special, but working for the company will open windows, doors, and allsorts for me.Only problem is after the 1st interview I sold myself, but made sure I told them my competencies regarding the job role.....I knew I wasn't qualified enough. They invited me back, said they really liked me, even though I wasn't entirely qualified.I know i'm not qualified enough for the position. They know this, yet they're still taking things further. I just don't get it....but I ain't gonna fight it. keep it moving innit :lol:Going back today to meet the man who I'd be working under if I'm successful, I reckon if he gives me a thumbs up the jobs a'good'n ---reason I keep bringing up the qualified ting is because my only gripe is; say I get the job and then a month down the line they're like....this isn't gonna work, thats worst to me than not getting the job in the 1st place---meh.fingers crossed.p.s. I babble like a motherf*cker when i'm hyped.

which phone shop? I ask cos if its like carphone or orange, people tend to put up tips and sh*t on various websites-just gotta google.imo cover letter doesn't have to be too long for retail but make sure you include the following words/phrases- tenacious, confident, target-driven, customer-focussed, hard-working, good product knowledge, creative, etc etc (words that show relation to the industry/job and whatnot)Talk about what YOU can bring to THE COMPANY and THEIR TEAM.You gotta sell yourself ALOT in your cv. Mobile retail industry is ruthless, from personal experience 4 in every 5 CVs get binned without being fully read. its that real.So your cv/covering letter has gotta catch their eye from the get-go!

Do you have any criminal convictions that are unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974?Ive had to pay a fine twice (arrested once), once for driving my cousins car (me on provisional license) without no insurance and for leaving an untaxed vehicle on the road.So do i put yes or no to this question in general when filling out application forms etc.

Currently been working at GQ mag for the past couple of months; brilliant so far. Was v. difficult to get here but having contacts (or more like emailing 1,408 people to direct me) >>>They've got me on editorial research at the moment, but should be shifting me to assistance within design and/or photography. This will probably open up a lot more opportunities for me... Most definitely looking forward to the rest of the year.
