Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson: Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger Has No MoneyThe Manchester United manager has confirmed the worst fears of Gunners fans.Arsenal's quest to remain a competitive outfit in the Premier League's top four could be made more laborious as they will be unable to fund any further incomings unless they continue to sell, so opines Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, who has stated that Arsene Wenger "doesn't have any money" to spend.Ferguson explained to The Telegraph, "Arsenal have got the biggest test to be where they want to be."I know that Arsene doesn't have any money. I think that selling [Emmanuel] Adebayor... well, whether he can use that money is another question."There seems to be evidence that he can't use the money. I don't know. I think they're struggling cash-wise. It's a big test for Arsenal."Such a notion is given more credence when one examines the nature of the Frenchman's transfer policy thus far. Wenger bought Ajax captain Thomas Vermaelen but has sold key striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Manchester City for £25 million.Prior to the opening of the summer window, Wenger affirmed that the team would need two or three experienced recruits, but he has since intimated that the current crop are strong enough."The message is to trust the players that we have," he explained to the club's official website. "This is a very big season for us but I believe that we are in a very strong position."I feel we have a big enough squad to deal with the targets that we have."

But it is true though, Arsenal are skint and I wouldn't be surprised if that Adebayor deal will fund Arshavin's + stadium costs.

To be honest a part of me thinks Fergies tryin to do Wenger a favour hereArsenal wont be the target for the mind games this season thats for sureFergie would much prefer Arsenal to stay in the top 4 than City enter it And he'd much rather If united cant win the league for Arsenal to win it ahead of Chelsea and definitly Liverpool

So Fergie has a new job as their accountant now?
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez expects Premier League title rival Sir Alex Ferguson to use his world-record transfer profits to strengthen Manchester United this summer. The Red Devils earned a staggering £80million up front from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid this summer to significantly boost funds at Old Trafford. But despite repeated reports linking him with Franck Ribery and Sergio Aguero, Ferguson has claimed that he will not spend any more money before transfer deadline day.Benitez, though, believes his opposite number, who has bought Antonio Valencia and Gabriel Obertan while also signing free agent Michael Owen, will venture into the transfer market before the end of August."I am sure they will have money and they will buy some players," said the Liverpool boss when asked about United.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes Manchester City will pose little threat to Manchester United's Premier League crown this season.City manager Mark Hughes has spent millions building a squad he hopes is capable of breaking into the top four. But United manager Ferguson said: "It won't be easy for them to win anything, even with the players they have bought."I can't look at them as our main competitors. Liverpool and Chelsea are our main competitors."

Also said in the same article:
"How Arsene develops his team will be his biggest test. "The one thing we know about Arsenal is that they will play some of the best football you will see and create chances. They could easily re-establish themselves and challenge for the league again."
