Gianfranco Zola believes it would be in Mario Balotelli's interests for the Inter Milan striker to join West Ham United.Hammers boss Zola is keen to improve his striking options, with Carlton Cole currently his only senior fit front man.Dean Ashton is working his way back to fitness, Savio Nsereko is still unproven, while David Di Michele and Diego Tristan left Upton Park at the end of last season.Zola has now lined up a move for teenage ace Balotelli, who has struggled to make an impact for Inter since Jose Mourinho took over as coach.West Ham are in talks with Inter over a deal and Zola is hoping Balotelli will follow Luis Jimenez in making the move from the San Siro to England.Natural talent"I have done everything I can to sign Mario," said Zola."It would be in both our interests if he came to West Ham."There's no place for him at Inter and he's a natural talent."He is extroverted and knows his attitude can upset people, but he's intelligent and still learning to handle situations."http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5460980,00.html
If Zola can pull that off big props to him,

Was 12million but PMSL indeed
No, it was 18.5 million pounds including writing off their outstanding debt for Crouch. Who they just sold at a profit for 13 million pounds anyway.Rafa's transfer dealings >>>>
:D anyone who knows anything about LFC knows that Rafa has had f*ck all to do with our transfer dealings since he joined. Its all been Rick Parry's doing, we've only shelled out 18M on a defender now because that c*nt Parry has left. Its common knowledge that if it werent for Parry we would never have signed Robbie Keane and we would have hadDaniel Alves, Simoa and David Villa all at the club as we speak. Deals were agreed for all players only for Parry to pull the plug. His mentality was rather than pay 20M on one player, go and buy 5 sub standard players for 4m each.We would never have spent 18.5M on Glen Johnson had Parry still been here!

Wenger the silly c*nt could have got him for 16 mil last season apparently
He was never going to go to Arsenal
How you know that?
Even thou Alonso most probs wanted to leave last year because of the whole Barry/Rafa thing... He was loyal in the sense that he woudnt join a English rival...

JJ how ome you didnt re-sign Melberg? I'm late I know...
Dunno - he was linked but MON said it wasn't going to happen - it would have been ideal though.Rumours were in Mellberg's last season that MON didn't pull out all the stops to re-sign him because there was a divide in the dressing room.Petrov and Mellberg had an argument on the pitch at Villa Park one game in 07/08 (I forget what game). MON dragged them both off at half time and Mellberg announced his deal for Juve a few weeks later. Rumours were they almost had a punch up in the tunnel at HT.

So Parry wouldn't spend big on indivudal players, preferring 3 or 4 lesser players instead - but he signed Keane for £20mil instead of Simao and Alves? If I could be bothered I'd find a quote from about a month ago where Rafa says Robbie Keane was his signing.

Here it clearly sounds like Rafa wanted Keane, but there were other interviews where he disputed paying that amount for him. The Keane saga doesnt even make sense anyways, always seemed like Rafa was trying to prove a point by dragging him off before the end of every game or what not, yet he stuck by Kuyt who missed similiar chances in the past and helped him develop. Anyway, it is true that time and time again that Parry failed when it came to finalising deals for the players Rafa really wanted.

Keane was Rafs's signing, but the problem was that Rafa wanted Keane and Barry and wanted to change the 4-2-3-1 we currently play to a 4-4-2... The problem was that Rafa told Parry that the priority was Barry and then get Keane. Parry went in for Keane and said Barry was too much. Zeke is right about the rest tho... Its always been around a million/2million that Parry didnt want to part with which lost us stars like Alves, Simao, Aguero, Ribery Etc...
