Wenger doesn't rule out Vieira coming back

"There is a football decision and there is a psychological impact on a player of that stature that could come in," said the Gunners boss."But at the moment we need to look at the level of experience in your squad to make this kind of decision."We are nowhere near to making a decision like that, but it is a possibility."We do not rule it out and we do not say we will do it - and that is my decision at the moment."LegendWenger remains in regular contact with Vieira and is aware that he experienced a difficult season with Inter."I speak to Patrick, I speak to many players who have been here because I keep good connections with them," he explained."He has gone through a difficult period as well in the last season. I am aware that he wants to come here."I think Patrick is a legend here and he would always like to come back to this club. That would be his first choice."With emotion you always like the club you spent time (with)."But as a professional as well, you always give 100 per cent for whichever club you sign for."

You man really thought Alonso will leave LIVERPOOL for arsenal?ROFLBWLUse your f*ck*ng heads.
But he wasn't ever seeking glory from a transfer, it's just that your d*ckhead manager thought he needed to be replaced by Gareth Barry. It was a par, any Liverpool fan that thinks he is being a c*nt needs to remember.

The SunRafa eyes Villa dealRAFA BENITEZ will use the money from the Xabi Alonso deal to bid for Spain striker David Villa.Midfielder Alonso is expected to seal a £30million move to Real Madrid today - and Liverpool boss Benitez aims to pair Villa with current Kop frontman Fernando Torres in the double act that has been so deadly for the Euro 2008 champions.Anfield skipper Steven Gerrard would move back into central midfield, alongside Javier Mascherano, with Benitez changing his formation to 4-4-1-1.Villa, 26, has already turned down moves to Real and Barcelona this summer but Liverpool feel Torres can persuade his pal to leave Valencia for England.Benitez, however, recognises potential difficulties in nabbing Villa and does have a Plan B.Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani, 24, is seen as a possible replacement for Alonso, 27, who asked for a transfer to force through his move.Bernabeu bigwigs are haggling over the fee and have suggested a cash- plus-player swap. Liverpool, though, would much rather take a full cash payment.

Bullshit... Were not going in for David Villa. Most people know that Torres plays better as a lone striker, as much as i rate Villa i wouldnt want to disrupt the Torres/Gerrard partnership. With the money we get from Alonso the majority of it will be spent on his replacement. TBH i dont even think we will get Silva, I think with Riera and Babel we will be ok. Unless Rafa moves Babel upfront but preseason suggests Babel has come back stronger, hes been playing with more heart, and on the left. Perhaps next year.

Daniele De Rossi admits it would be a major loss for Roma if Alberto Aquilani joins Liverpool, although he also recognises that it would be a good move for the midfielder. The Reds are reportedly interested in signing Aquilani, with Xabi Alonso seemingly set to leave Anfield for Real Madrid after submitting a transfer request earlier in the week.De Rossi is aware of the rumours and fears a switch could go ahead that would leave Roma with a weakened midfield. However, De Rossi understands why his team-mate might be tempted to go to Liverpool and feels he would be able to improve at Anfield."I don't know the details and I don't know if the deal is real," said De Rossi."If it's as it's written in the papers, we will lose a great player."His many injuries have maybe meant that he's been forgotten about a bit, but I am sure that if he leaves we will regret it."He's a footballer with exceptional skill and above all he grew up in Roma's academy and has a love for this shirt that you cannot buy."But if you think about his career I think it would be a good opportunity, he would grow a lot by being close to the best midfielder in the world - Steven Gerrard."
Think that this will happen now... Liverpools most likely first team next year will be...

ReinaJohnson Carra Skertel InsuaAquilani MaschKuyt Gerrard RieraTorres

Second team...

Dont expect any other main buys other than perhaps squad players... Hope Rafa proves me wrong.

intresting stuffSensible Ferguson* Matt Scott* The Guardian, Thursday 30 July 2009So Sir Alex Ferguson will not be spending because "it's been difficult to get good value" in the market and his club is "sensible".Of course the decision not to reinvest the bulk of the £80m raised from selling Cristiano Ronaldo has nothing to do with the £523.7mborrowings loaded on the club. Nor to the £21.7m payable before last month in outstanding transfer fees. And the £45.5m net payablein interest is not linked to it in any way. Not to mention the Glazers' £275m payment-in-kind loans, (which are believed to havereached £533m after interest) because they are not on the club's balance sheet and cannot be mentioned. But if the leaked businessplan that was floating around at the time of the 2005 takeover is to be believed United's lenders would demand earnings beforeinterest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of £89m in 2007 (it was £75.4m) and £107m last year (it was £80.4m despite winning thePremier and Champions Leagues). With banks reining in football-club lending, it loo
