Frank Furta Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 I cant still cant over kompressor saying he wouldnt mind utd spending 40mil on benzema..lollolman said 40 mil on ashley young and aaron lennon instead of someone like silvaJust out of interest how much do you think it'd cost to get Benzema and are you saying that if we couldn't get a deal for Arron lennon for between 15-20 and Young for 20 -25 would it not be a good bit of business considering the money we have, the fact that they're English and will find it easier to settle and also the possibility that they'll be more likely to want to spend the peak of their careers at United they are both direct running wingers who'd fit into our counter attacking style both need to improve on certain things but i'd rather take a risk on English players than take a risk on someone like Silva who may come over not get off and running straight away, get homesick and start pining for a move to Barca or Madrid in no time.Even in this time of mad inflated prices, paying anything over 25mil for a player who has never played outside of france is madness. Hasnt been as good this year compared to the last. I dont see him leaving Lyon until after the World cup, but spending 40m on him is ridiculous. Kompressor Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Patrice Evra is rated as a very good world class left back by many people Arron Lennon on numerous occasions has taken him to school as i said he's got some developing to do but under the right cicumstances and at the right club he'll improve big time You've already seen the difference in him since Harry took over at Spurs Ashley Young has amazing potential and if were being reported rightly as paying 17 mill for Valencia20 mill for Young is warrented Benzema has quality and we would not capture him for less than 30 mill plus add ons anyway because we're Manchester United And because we have the 80 mill hanging over our heads bumping the price of any target up substantially we need wingers who can run at people and can deliver into the box and we need a front man who's experinced i the Champions league ideally we wouldn't have to spend that type of money but that is just how it is.
