Shows that we watch because there are no specific UK Black shows...What I mean by this that I'd like to know what shows do you watch since the UK channels can't be arsed to make specific shows for Black people. It seems that:Crimewatch - is always popular  the way people here look forward to it, you would think they're going to be on it or see a frend. Half the people here get off on the recreations of violence  Waterloo Road - possibly the most unrealistic school show for years. Kids in love with teachers, teachers in love with kids, teachers in love with each other, playing out their personal lives in front of everyone and bizarre behaviour from everyoneInbetweeners - understandableThe Apprentice - there's usually only two ethnic people per series Eastenders - The biggest black cast on national and they're made to look like wankersSlate me if you want...Why do you watch this sh*t?

It's a f*ck*ng disgrace not even the BBC something we pay for can be bothered to put forward any decent black programming i remember they used to on a friday have a 3 hour black slot The A force where they showed Comedy, drama and live studio chat. But they quietly took it off.

stop whining. maybe more black people should try making programmes?
Would the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 or Five give us any air time? Maybe at 1 am.Isn't it interesting when Sky added 300+ digital channels including Trouble and BET, they quickly stopped showing Black programmes?I've contacted the BBC about this and they say "oh, our remit has to cover a broad selection of tastes" aka make standard TV for white people with a couple of Black and Asian actors...

Nope. The process is hard as they just want bland programmes, for the BBC one eye is always on the lucrative world markets where they can sell on shows why do you think they make so many costume dramas as there big sellers overseas. It's dire for black actors over here unless you have theater work where the casting is relatively colour blind what are they going to star in a costume drama? No room for blacks in those ones.Glancing over to the states and seeing the sitcoms and dramas over their that have mostly black casts but...appeal to everyone that's what i would like to see over here.Instead it's token efforts and a few scraps why do you think most of our top Black and asian actors have to go over to the states to get any kind of recognition.

People are gassin still. How many of you dont look to see if there are black people in Big Brother each year, then turn off when there arent? Shall we go into the threads and see? When there is a show on black issues or something we can relate to like a show about a place our parents are from, we watch and the threads are epic. Why take this politically correct stance of "I dont care if there are black people on telly" when you do? Ever thought maybe one of the reasons you dont watch telly is due to not connecting with a program?Look at the Channel U to MTV Base competition that was going on back in the day. I dont think Ch U were bigger nationwide but in London no one spoke about MTV Base. Why? Cos Ch U was easier to relate too as it was from a place you understood.EDIT By black you could say urban
