These kids need leadership. Looting JD wasn't the best idea.HOWEVERThey have a right to be pissed off.A generation that's been constantly failed by the systemThey are truly the voice of the unheard and we all know what language those people speakOrganise yourselves and really do this properly. The situation has grown beyond the circumstances relating to Mark Duggan's death (condolences to his family) and now the revolution is beginning.A system designed to criminalise and trap badly educated young people into a cycle of poverty is being tossed out by these same young people.Let's join them and together, burn this f*ck*ng town downnnn
badly educated young people ? i suppose that's everyone else's fault right ? if you want an education you will get an education..90 percent of this DID NOT HAPPEN because of mark duggans death lets be real...and poverty please, please, please do not even go there...somalia is porverty....peckham is not poverty
Relative/Absolute poverty.Peckham doesn't have the same level of poverty as Somalia, but there is still poverty its just that you will never know cause your some middle class white toff from Surrey.

how many people marched peacefully against the iraq war? did it change anything? not a god damn thing

It's hard enough just getting IN to a secondary school...I struggled and got no help from my school at any point, they don't careThey just want you to do well to get top leaderboard placeshelp yourself then...not even a disrespect but im tired of black teens making excuses for their stupid actions....its one thing not being apart of it and condemming it but its another thing not being apart of it and condoning it...there's no excuse for this sort of behaviour..

The majority of people with a good education come from a family environment which permits them to do so.If the government offer incentives to young women from deprived areas to have kids young (benefits, flats) how does that help the next generation have stability? You get the education your parents want you to get, rarely have I met a child with the maturity and wisdom to do it all themselves.

The gap between wealth and poverty in England is way beyond anything in Somalia. This is a developed country, Somalia is not.

2.21pm: Paul Lewis is back in touch with some more on the role that Blackberry Messenger is playing in all this:There is no doubt that that BBM — Blackberry Messenger — is being used to organise disturbances. Again, I've had multiple sources confirm that this BBM message, encouraging people to loot in Enfield Town, was widely disseminated as early as 2pm on Sunday. It appears to have been the main message that was being shared, although there were variations.Everyone in edmonton enfield woodgreen everywhere in north link up at enfield town station 4 o clock sharp!!!! Start leaving ur yards n linking up with you niggas. Guck da feds, bring your ballys and your bags trollys, cars vans, hammers the lot!! Keep sending this around to bare man, make sure no snitch boys get dis!!! What ever ends your from put your ballys on link up and cause havic, just rob everything. Police can't stop it. Dead the fires though!! Rebroadcast!!!!!"Paul adds:We have to be careful not to fan the flames in situations like this, and I am reluctant to reveal the (many) BBM messages that are circulating with instructions for tonight. They are all hard to verify, but generally suggest plans to gather in at least six boroughs in north London. You can send other BBM messages about tonight's activities in confidence to [email protected]://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/08/london-riots-tottenham-duggan-blog

What with all this twittering, BBMing n general use of the interwebs being used to plan these attacks, people are starting to clock resemblences to the "flash mobs/robs" in America and Canada and elsewhere.

this is happening all over, according to various news sources, check youtube Probably a culmination of the racist news channels and the huge repression of these poor peoples, as it is not possible that certain groups of people may just prefer violence and theft more than another group of people, as everyone is equal, apart from me, I'm ignorant.

2.26pm: Craig, a former HMV manager, has emailed in to say how frustrated and furious he is at what has happened to the music shops in Wood Green and Enfield:I was a manager at HMV for 10 years and still have many friends, as well as my girlfriend, who still work for the company. Things are extremely tough for HMV now - staff haven't had a pay rise for two years in a row, rarely achieve sales bonuses and things are hard for them in general. Last night, looters not only broke into the store and stole company stock, but also broke into staff lockers and stole their possessions. How can these actions be remotely justified?http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/08/london-riots-tottenham-duggan-blog

do you understand the word relativeno it's not somebody who is realted to you, try again
yeah you mug compared to other areas in London, Peckham has relative poverty. The poverty threshold, or poverty line, is the minimum level of income deemed necessary to achieve an adequate standard of living in a given countryThe possession of less money than others in the same society, or the inability to afford the standard of living of more comfortable individuals or that is believed to be possible or appropriate
