Has the Ravel deal gone through? Been revising all day and forgot it was the f*ck*ng deadline day
Ravel Morrison signed for West Ham United from Manchester United for an initial £650,000 fee that could rise to £2m including add-ons, with the 18-year-old also agreeing personal terms related to his performance. Sam Allardyce, the West Ham manager, hopes that Morrison can help the club to seal automatic promotion to the Premier League following relegation last season.
The deal finally went through at around 8.30pm after Morrison passed a medical. Morrison's salary will start at around £12,000 a week with this possibly increasing to as much as £65,000. The rising sliding scale will be triggered only if West Ham regain their Premier League status. Then, after a certain number of top-flight starts, his salary would rise incrementally towards the £65,000 ceiling.
Morrison's contract at United was to expire in the summer and they decided to sell now rather than having to go before a tribunal at the end of the season. United had reportedly offered Morrison a new deal which the player was considering when West Ham's bid was accepted.
As Morrison had his medical with West Ham, Allardyce said: "Ravel is a talented lad and if he really wants to be a player then we will help him as much as we can along the way. Perhaps a change of environment will be beneficial to him and help him make that step up to first-team football quicker than perhaps would have been the case at Manchester United. There is no doubt he has exceptional talent."
Although Ferguson and the coaches at United's Carrington training base admired Morrison's technical ability, the midfielder's first‑team chances were limited to three Carling Cup appearances and he has also attracted attention for a number of off-field issues.
"I'm really pleased to have signed," Morrison said. "The move has happened very quickly and I'm looking forward to hopefully moving up to the Premier League with West Ham soon. I'm an attacking player and I'm hoping to get the fans on their feet."
He knew the challenge, how to possibly have a worse January transfer window than the past ones? He'd already done return of Chimbonda, return of Keane, Khumalo, Pienaar.

There isn't no one we could realistically sign at a decent price this window.
I don't expect anyone in, unless it's short term.

Saha deal is a proper weird
Saha last season far enough, banging goals in on the back of injuries etc, he look good again
but this season he hasn't got going at all, think he's scored summat like 2 goals this season? seems a bit desperate tbh,

Will be interesting to see what Saha can do in a team that makes a bag of chances though, aslong as he can keep fit
