The world cup thing is a tricky one,
Aslong as said player has played at the highest levels and stood out consistently, then they can have a argument,
George Best never did anything at world cups,
Ruse io hasn't been mentioned yet,
A certain german who both won world cups as a player and manager.
You ask a group of people for a top 5 and you'll get god knows how many different combinations.
Anyway, Zidane>> Iniesta

I can name Rivaldo easily
Van Basten is on hear say/Videos/the fact he only played five years at the top still managed three ballon d'ors/a dominate Euros
Iniesta I am not denying him but to put him on the same levels as Zidane is a new level of tr0lling

O Fenomeno
Player A stands out in club level and international scene
Player B takes it to a new level in club level and nowhere to be seen on the international scene
Who should be held in a higher regard

agree Zidane >>>>>>>>>>> Iniesta
Iniesta remains criminally underrated though, guy is brilliant. Some of his touches and his close control are unreal

U man do realise this is a topic about Drogba yeh?
Deffo 1 of the best the prem has seen.
I remember when him and Djibril Cisse first arrived in the same summer, I was convinced that Cisse would be more successful, lol what a fail.

You realise Messi and Zidane represented different countries at different times, against different oppositions in different circumstances.
It's not entirely possible to compare them in such simple ways.

Of course u cannot compare the two
One has achieved much more than the other
There is more to football than club level

Furthermore Messi is around more talented players than say Maradona was
Like I said Brazil 2014 will give us answers

One thing that jars me though.
Alot of people call Drogba "unplayable".
unplayable
It says nothing about play against or compete, or use of the word outside of referring to an object, the word is constantly used in the wrong context.
If it was used in relation to a subject it would literally mean they were shit ie: Paulo Ferreira is unplayable.
A much more suitable word would be incontestible.
