Ball boy was wasting time, his intentions from the start of the game was to do that, he would've been told by whoever briefed and greeted the ballboys before the game to do just that. 

i.e "if we're winning with minutes left, take your time son" "if we're losing get that ball back on the pitch sharpish"

nothing new there nothing to get exited about. 

 

Hazard let the frustration of the game get the better of him and lashed out a bit, he'll pay for it one way or another, 

 

the ballboy milked it to fuck though.

 

ref was 100% right in sending Hazard off. from when a player can get sent off for merely swinging a kick at someone without actually making contact him kicking a ballboy could only end in one way.
