By that notion Joey Barton should have got a year long ban instead of 12 games.

 

He got sent off for an elbow, kicked Aguero and then tried to headbutt Kompany in one game and his disciplinary record prior to that was pretty bad.

 

The FA seemingly just make things up as they go along.

Its kinda surprising that they dont have a set number of games to be missed for certain incidents, but the system as a whole needs changing.

We've all seen players tackle with pure malice intended. Even if the referees see these kind of tackles and the player does indeed get a red card, its clear that this kind of tackle would be much more severe than this flimsy biting incident.

 

I expected maybe 7/8 games, double figures just seems like its directed at Suarez purely because he is who he is.
