SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD 2013

People would question Suarez's ambition  if he was happy to stay at Liverpool.

Couldn't get into Europa,

No where near the top 4

Not enough quality around him (Although i expect that to change)

Suarez will be 27 next season and will be need to playing at the highest level

Not to mention all the media hate he gets, why would he want to play in this country?

Whilst Liverpool have a nice project in place, they probs won't see the rewards till after next season IMO.  Can't expect Suarez to stay during his prime.    Saying that, Liverpool don't have to sell unless he hands in a transfer request.  I think they could sign a couple of quality players though and get their project running

That's why i'm not bothered about Bale leaving. Real will have to cough up 60-80 mil minimum and probably most of it up front.   Bale is still only 23 and hasn't even peaked yet and we only missed out on top 4 on the last day of the season.   He only just signed a new deal last season and it will take a massive offer for him to leave.   Levy knows how to rinse out teams and can keep our players 1 season regardless if they want to leave!

How can you tell that Aspas won't be the next Borini?

Both Suarez and Torres were bought off amazing performances in their league and have gone onto lead a club at the highest level.

You can't just buy some striker from Spain with a decent record and fling him into the Suarez vacany and expect him to deliver.

Just think there's about 200 world class footballers out there in about 2 billion trying to make it, very small margins so i wouldn't be pinning my hopes on these two.

Boy we got Ian Ayre so that will probably happen I need that man to be fired. But if Bale is 60million to levy Suarez is the same price if not more its basically pay top money for top 3 strikers in the world whose contract is until 2016. atleast 50million like Torres can't be going for lower than that

Okay let's look at these games without suarez

2zoxgth.png

Newcastle have been in shit form they even lost to Sunderland at home. That Newcastle teams form during that period was a joke.

Everton a derby match at HOME they were unable to beat them an actual decent team in their run in fixtures

Fulham 1-3 Fulham had made it to safety and were already on their holidays the defending in the game will tell you as much

QPR at home a team that was already relegated and have been woeful all season

Its all smoke and mirrors

No respect for my dawg Sturridge

he will do the damn thing next year Thizzle is far off with that prediction

I respect him as a footballer.

He has a very big ego though.

Maybe it will run at Liverpool but at a big club like Chelsea he was way above his station.

Could you give me some examples of when this big ego has come to light? Disagreements with managers, players?

All I get from Sturridge is that he wants games and when he gets them he's happy.

Sometimes you admire players from afar; you look at them and you say he’s a good player. But when you work with people on a daily basis, not only do you see their quality as footballers but you see their quality as human beings.

Daniel’s a lovely lad. He’s confident, of course he is, but sometimes people get that mixed up with arrogance. He’s a gem of a lad. He wants to do well.

I know from speaking to him that he’s determined to be a big success at Liverpool and I’m convinced he will be.

That's what Owen Coyle said about him

AVB obviously liked him as he played him a lot ( Sturridge thanked him publicly when he became Spurs Manager for giving him playing time )

So what did he do at Chelsea to get the big ego tag?
