Can Leicester win the league?

Let's remember that Liverpool beat Man City when they had to and still managed to fuck up with less games to go so still a long way to go in this league.

I don't think Spurs will get a better chance but if Leicester take it 1 game at a time it's in their hands.

But to sum up

A striker from the Conference top pl scorer

A midfielder from Ligue 2 looking certs for poty

Relegation battle cb's top clubs didn't want

Goes to show the gap in ability between players is not as wide as most people think.

When huge sums are paid what is actually being bought is a mix of age, ability, form and mentality which = reputation.

Buying all 4 is lazy, if you can look for 2 of those attributes and add the another 2 you can get a steal.

Ie: Suarez at Groningen

Schneiderlin at Strasbourg

Alli at Mk Dons

Mahrez at Le Havre

Funny cos I saw an interview where Mahrez said himself "Football is confidence".

Don't think anybody on this forum would choose Sterling over Mahrez right now, there was something flying around saying Sterling cost over a hundred Mahrez's.

Up until very recently Mick McCarthy's Ipswich had only spent 10k on transfers over his whole reign yet are up challenging for promotion every year.

The game is being played wrong imo, football needs this to change perception.

I agree with a lot of that but the reason is this imo.

Ā

Liverpool are going through the shits

Chelsea are going through the shits

Man United are going through the shits

Ā

Thats 3 of the top 6 with with major issues.

Ā

Arsenal x Man City are not TOP sides either, as seen from their performances in Europe.

Ā

Leicester are just simply taking advantage of the under performing/diminished quality in the league currently.

Of course football is all about confidence but this changing perception stuff is a load of bollocks.

This is just a massive anomaly.

I would call Wrexham beating Arsenal in the cup an anomaly.

Something going tits up for as long as a season points to there being variants and factors in play that can be influenced.

Leicester's team is incredibly fit as well.

Once Europe kicks in again it will be peak for everyone else.

Ā

Are they even in any cups.

Ā

nope, league is their only focus.

Ā

Ā

wait till next season when their in europe..it will be peak for them.

They have a big squad with cover for all departments tbh.

From Schlupp can barely get on the bench these days...
