As someone who lives in the north I can't agree with this more.

London is a completely different country to the rest of England. Kent and Essex got that kinda feel, but once you start venturing further it's really like a different world. The pace, the convenience, the public transport, the attitude of people. I know the point you were making is the ethnic diversity, but even beside that London is just a different world
