Hernandez should have started over Welbeck, this isn't a patch on Welbeck, Hernandez is just better and in the BEST United XI he starts. And the derby is when the best XI should take to the field.

I do rate Welbeck but don't think he's as good as a lot of you make out yet

Anderson has done well this season, but he had a poor poor game

hes dip in the form has conincided with Cleverleys injury, that speaks for itself as the whole teams form seems to have lagged since cleverleys injury

Ive said I would like Tiote brought in at some point because I dont know how longer we are going to go without a specialist ball winner or prominent DM since Hargreaves has been on hes last legs.

I would of started hernandez, but saying that you can see why he picked Welbeck they are very similar opposites if that makes sense lol. They're both going to work hard and harrass the back four. Both going to run in behind the back four. Welbeck is better with the ball at his feet, Hernandez is the greater goal threat even though Welbz could argue he has scored more goals this season. It was either or for Fergie, and using Hernandez as an impact sub has paid off many a time for us, so I have no quarrels with that decision.

Evra has been a fucking mess defensively for a while now aswell..

This is just a needed wake up call.

Evra is finished

Don't blame Ferguson for picking Welbeck, he scored against City in pre-season, he was up for it, he's a local lad, been on form too, that's somewhat irrelevant though, for the last 3 or 4 games the side has looked like it could have conceeded about 4 goals each time, even against Norwich. This has been coming..

In all fairness, in Uniteds first choice 11 neither Welbeck or Hernandez starts,

Rooney starts up top on his own with Nani and Young flanking,

Someone like Tiote probably makes too sense for it to happen in January, we'll probably wait till he moves to a bigger club then pay more money for him in s couple of years, just like Young,

A 3 of Tiote Fletcher and Cleverly would do nicely, and he'd surely represent value.

Our squad is undoubtedly good, it just needs that extra bit of something to be better, and we need to be better to compete with the bitters, (reckon that pet name could be ours before too long though)

Fair enough, but in reality even when we tried going 4-4-2 against a crest fallen Arsenal last season, we came up short, we haven't got the personel to deploy that formation totally efficiently against good sides, even that shite arsenal 11 that came to OT came scored 2 missed a pen and created loads,

It worked well for 20 minutes against City, but we didn't create anything, despite goin 1 down, could argue it worked toll the sending off,

The Chelsea game was another defensive shambles tbh,

Look at the season so far, the only team we've dominated has been Bolton,

West brom put up a good fight,

Stoke could argue they mightve deserved more than 1 point,

Spurs had a shit midfield but still competed till the 70th minute.

The Arsenal game is void.

And Norwich deserved more from the game at OT and could've actually taken it,

I am a fan of 4-4-2 and would love got us to play it in a ideal world. But you have to cut your cloth accordingly, and right now that's not the formation for us, (that's not knee-jerk as ad I've stayed we've been slightly under par all season, but have scored plenty to cover it up,

91 shots conceded at OT so far this season is it? Shocking tbh!

Whenever we play a team who give it back. 4-4-2 doesn't work due to the players we have at our disposal,

West Brom showed us that last season,

What's worked in our favour last season was the fact that most team are beaten in the Tunnel if not when the fixture is announced.

The formation for a long time should have always been 4-3-3 / or a 4-5-1 variant

Problem is now in a 3 man midfield you have Anderson and Carrick who complement eachother well, and then you have to have Fletcher, who while having a vastly superior big-game temperament and consistency to Anderson, essentially performs a similar role, to a much less athletic degree

For it to work the player is needed that has been needed since forever - a creative midfielder who can unlock doors

I've said those last 7 words so much it has become a cliche

Ando isn't that bad tbh

with better players i.e. anyone but Fletcher he looks good

forward line picks itself on form tbh, think anyone of the top 4 could do a job against anyone

we need to sort out the defence and midfield

Evans should NEVER start ahead of anyone unless its Carrick, he doesnt seem to learn, makes stupid mistakes and is generally just a bit dim

p.s. forget about Carrick, lost his bottle a long time ago
