You aren't going to see a Cruyff philosophy in 6 league games.

I honestly think that our reluctance to leave 442 stems from trying to keep Wayne Rooney in a position he likes.

I'm actually glad Moyes has been blooded into a hard set of fixtures and disappointing results. It's the wake up call he will have needed to realise what will be required of his system to perform at this level.

We are not City or Chelsea they bought their managers for instant success. We all know David Moyes was selected to achieve long term stability, in line with the current identity of our club.

It's too soon to judge him.

Hey guys, Flojo is right. During these dark times us United fans should offer the same amount of time and support that Flojo had for Hodgson during his reign at Liverpool.

In one.

I remember being told us Liverpool fans didn't give Hodgson a chance, that he was a good manager really and we were wrong for being pissed off at him constantly lowering expectations by talking down the quality of our squad and talking up our opponents (every team were formidable opponents according to Woy).

Well here we have a carbon copy situation with you and Moyes and most Man Utd fans are at a loss to understand what's happening or how to respond.

Schadenfreude.

Going to be a long hard season but IMO if he doesn't make Top 4 and a Champions League place I would sack him. We are in a shit position but beyond that his words are too negative and defeatest. Depresses me when I see his interviews and his failure to acknowledge Fergies advice as has been said is his own demise.

Remember when Woy suggested that United would be in for Torres if Rooney left, lol.

f*ck, we really have become Woy's Liverpool. From the Jurassic Park tactics to the foot in mouth press conferences to the poor man management to the exceptions being lowered more times than a limbo bar.

What poor man management?

Telling your squad who would have got to CL final last year albeit for a poor ref decision plus the addition of Fellani and 2nd season for RVP and Kagawa with us that they are not good to enough to try and win CL season after?

Saying that the first team needs 5/6 new players to come into the first 11

Saying we have ''some good players''

"Moyes is undoubtedly correct in his assessment (that he requires two new players to go straight into the team). United do lack quality, particularly in midfield, but there is a danger that he is giving his players an excuse for failure by repeatedly high-lighting their failures. Ferguson in contrast would never talk his team down. He would often exaggerate the potential of his players simply to instil the belief that they could achieve great things. The mind games started at home, in the United dressing room and Ferguson's psychology delivered the results, but the message from Moyes is one of fear and concern and he may need to find a way of saying something he does not believe in order to to put his team back on track."

Even that excuse about having to '''assess' players

Fuck out of here

How can we on here have seen Nani, Kagawa etc enough to put them in first team but this guy who must have access to 1000s of hours of reports, videos etc on said players

Even just turning on his tv and seeing them play for us or previous clubs

Tim Cahil was always flying off to Oz, Moyes didnt use that as an excuse to drop him

Same Moyes that had Barkley but choose to loan him out in Jan, yet few months later he is back playing under a good manager and has been one of their best performers

He claims that the current squad doesn't meet the standard he sees for the squad in his vision, regardless of their prior achievements. That fucking delights me, it's called ambition. When he makes such statements, it's not to discourage the squad. It's to signal his intent to those who are responsible for helping him achieve that ambition. Que the next transfer window

Even if things do ''improve''

It will just be paper over the cracks like last year

4-4-2 away from home Giggs right midfield

:lmao:  :lmao:

30+ Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra against pacey strikers

:lmao:  :lmao:

Rooney in a free role

:lmao:  :lmao:

Kagawa hugging left touchline

Buttner not in league 2 on the bench somewhere with Bebe

Its end of September

Your teams lost 3 games, and you then basically go and say, ''tbh your all shit, if we manage to win its luck, but im going to replace most of you next august anyway''

And after a 3 month transfer window with money to spend with Moyes and that clown Fraiser couldnt convince anyone to come what is going to change, especially now they have seen he doesn't cater for talent, he likes hard workers

:/

Who we going to sign in Jan that will be allowed to leave and not be CL tied?

For me the liverpool cup game was the last straw

He picked the wrong battle

But as I already said it might be irrelevant the end of the season if they win the cup

And the whole winning the league last year, it wasn't even close to discount that and everyone improves why did he not

He should of got rid of rooney but he made a stubborn now costly mistake

The amount of players which were availible last summer that he missed out on

The fact ozil and his dad were waiting 2 days for united to sign him, but this guy was trying to get baines instead

His embarassing chase of cesc to put him in a 2 with carrick which would of made no difference in the cl

His inability to see kagawa is his central midfield answer

Redknapp could do a fucking better job ffs

Kagawa is like modric dying to be moved into center mid and told to play

Think Moyes will struggle for the nerxt month or so and go on a title winning run after Jan to get top 4

Utd not in the CL?   There's are no excuses no matter how much sh*t Moyes talks.

Moyes should have played it safe, Fergie left everything for him in place, he just had to buy some players and carry on.  Getting rid of the back staff has obviously affected the team.  Not sure if this utd team is even motivated.

This Shakhtar game should be fun.

Was thinking about this game earlier. Sociedad lost 2-0 against them but had twice as many shots and 57% possession. Common sense would be match the 4-3-3 formation(that briefly worked in the 2nd half vs City but hasn't been used since) that Sociedad used against Shakhtar's 4-2-3-1 and try to keep Teixeira quiet. Let's see what Moyes does cause if it's 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 again it's gonna be a long night.

IMO

IF RVP is not fit enough

Smalling RB, Jones into midfield

Rooney up top by himself having loads of long shots and yellow card about 63rd minute
