Out of interest does anyone believe Fergies talk regarding the famous "Value in the Market" or are people facing up to the fact that money is drip fed from upstairs, thus dictating what he see's as Value,

Good signing player wise, but the 4 year package were paying to acquire the services of a 29 Year old with a interesting history of injury definitely does not represent value, especially as Robin Van Persie as good a player he is isn't a marketing dream either.

Could it then be linked to the fact that we have just launched this IPO (albeit a month or two earlier than i thought it would happen) with ridiculous terms attached and need a little razz-mataz to accompany it,

Can't remember who it was but some bloke was predicting this sort of thing happening this summer/Autumn despite the expert financial brains all saying a float wasn't imminent. How this bloke was able to go against the experts and predict this? Understanding Glazernomics.

Yes, I've told you before I do

lol *sighs*

What you consider value and what Fergie and Manchester United consider value are different things. And you know what, unless he explained why he did or did not go for every potential transfer target in the past, we will never know.

Instead of considering theories, how about you consider the facts, it was only 3 pages ago you were saying that unlike the Glazer era compared to the owners before, we got a big singing here and there to go with the tickets etc going up.

We have one now, and Fergie said there still could be one more, so forget what 'bloke predicted' and concentrate on the reality

Now time for the comparison game,

Yorke-RVP

Cole-Welbeck

2OLEGEND- Hernandez

Sheringham- Rooney

I've tried comparing close to like for like but on 2nd thoughts might want to swap RVP and Welbeck or maybe Rooney and Welbeck.

Still think 99 has a slight edge, but if Welbeck's rate of progression continues like it has been and Hernandez recaptures his season before last form it'll be a wrap.

Believe me I'm looking at the reality mate, Which is why I was able to predict exactly what has happened 10 months ago, I.E float and 2/3 significant signings this summer, when the "experts" said a float wasn't on the radar yet for the forseeable till the global economic situation sorts itself and fans were resigned to seeing a few unknowns and a few punts with value being the key word,

I still reckon we could be in for Tiote if not a left back.

I hear what your saying and your arguements are decent but since 2005 I haven't been shocked by much, as Between them, Imusa, Gill and the Glazer's themselves outlined exactly what was to follow.

The only thing that hasn't gone "as planned" are the planned ticket price rises, this has been due to a lower demand for tickets in recent seasons, and the unexpected green and Gold campaign and the club trying to quell that movement,

I hear you fully, However the fact is Fergie is a liar, ultimately he lies for through benefit of Manchester United but still, Value is not what governs his dealings and he has no problems with/paying/or in dealing with agents as long as they're in his circle,

See Bebe Deal and the goings on with Mr Mendes.

I've seem sum figures surrounding the RVP signing and 4 year deal, none of them represent value in anyone's language, anyone's.

Injury riddled career, (hopefully behind him)

His goal record isn't amazingly consistently high,

He's 29

In the last year if his contract.

Who knows how he'll adapt and how the team will adapt,

It's not a position we really need to add to.

But I hear you.

Saying all that, I do believe we've signed a player who

Will give us 3 good seasons easily and will provide plenty of goals and contribute very well.

But the only people couping value from this are RVP, His agent and Arsenal,

Hernandez and this Chilean kid represent value transfers, a injury prone 29 year old on Rooney money.......

"I think that, absolutely. That had to be in our estimation of bringing Robin here that we had to… what would be the combinations because Robin can actually play in two or three positions as he's done at Arsenal, last season he proved what his best position was, number 1, furthest up the pitch, 37 goals, 30 league goals, that in itself tells you where his best position is. But Arsenal over the years have sort of evolved their systems a bit and therefore that's maybe why he was sometimes played midfield, wide right, sometimes wide left, and in that situation now I have the possibility I can play Rooney through, Van Persie through, Chicharito through, I've got Danny Welbeck who could play through and I've got Kagawa playing in that hole behind, who is a fantastic young footballer too. So that's my dilemma but you know that the most important thing for all these 5 players, and you've got Macheda, young Macheda, who is still a young lad, only 20 years of age, the important thing is to win what we want to win, that's the important thing and the players, as a unit, the 5 of them, have helped us to do that by offering a goal contribution that is better than everyone else, then we've done the right thing.

hmm

One of the best youtube compilation makers who had his account suspended is back, and he chose Luis Nani to do his 3 part compilation series on.

Seriously worth watching for any football fan, this guy makes sick videos and thank god he chose Nani so more muppets can be ended.

The best news would be getting his contract sorted before Christmas, don't want him to leave at all :(
