So instead of focusing on the tactical problem and the space in between that triangle of Sunderland players that isn't being occupied by Rooney or preferably Kagawa we're just gonna turn this into a Cleverley vs Fabregas debate, smh. I'm out.
Smh you started the debate by saying "swap him with any of our transfer targets"
I'm baffled by you Man U fans. Are you saying your central midfield of is good enough?
Excuse me, who doesn't play?
Its alright
I will break it down
Moyes first 11, Welbeck, Anderson and Cleverly do not start
If Welbeck does get a chance its left midfield lol
Cba for your tr0lling today
Have a good one
Try turn my comment on Cleverly into my comparing him to Thiago and Cesc, almost had me there fella

if i had time i would make a compilation of rooney just from yesterdays game
/
also there is more than 1 problem there are a few problems all stemming from the situation SAF left the club, personally the owners thing im neither here nor there.... as they obviously are not crazy sugar daddies but they are also not scammers in it for a quick buck.... out of all the new owners i can't really think of too many better but i know a whole lot worse.
/
personally i think there will be at least 3 seasons of moyes... my predictions are as follows
this season 4-6th, semi finals of fa cup, quarters of champions league and maybe the league cup..... but the cup runs will give him an extra season if he misses out on CL
next season 3rd and in the hunt for the league for a bit, knocked out europa/cl in feb, poor showings in the cup.... gets another season for finishing in CL
season 3, 5th never in the hunt for a cl spot but recovers after a poor start to save his job with a fa cup win
season 4... his season with his squad, one of the favs for the league...............sacked in november
thats what i think will happen
see you man in nov 2017

Moyes needs time. I'd agree with that
I knew he would struggle with the squad he inherited unless improvements were made. My problem with him is the defeatist attitude he has shown thus far
Someone needs to remind him he's managing the biggest club in the world

Them being "footballing idiots" or a little unknowing in regard to the football side might hold some weight, but even they understand league positioning Champions league qualification and how to read a honours list.
Fergie not wanting foreigners at the helm might've held some weight in the early 2000's but since then he's taken on more influence from across the world, signed more foreigners and had foreign coaches running the playing side of things on a daily basis the majority of the time.
When looking at the Moyes appointment
the criteria used to appoint him would be interesting to look at. I have heard the phrase "Net transfer king" a few times.
We've heard the term "transitional period" how long do the board invisige this period to last for?
It's feasible that another share issue could be a possibility in the not too distant future, (one that is actually worthwhile in terms of people who might want to run a football club)
January and then again the summer will be interesting in terms of transfers as United don't have a manager as good or as proven as the rivals at the moment. This can be negated by giving the manager decent funds to bridge the gap.
However if you employ a manager who is below the quality of his peers and give him less money than his peers I don't think they'll be totally surprised that we are of the pace.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that in the next 3/4 years the debt will be significantly lower and shares floated to enable other people to have a say in how the club is run come in.
Depending on who those people are this could help the club up spending or less to even less being spent, (doubtful)
It may also change the criteria of how a manager is selected.
I believe Woodward has taken part in a fans forum here he said Baines was the number one summer target. Has anyone else got any info on that?
Finally back on the why was Moyes appointed question, imagine if say Jose was appointed ahead of Moyes and the transfer deals were handled in exactly the same way as they were this summer. Can you imagine the press conferences? In fairness to him Moyes has said more than I thought he would on the issue but he's still been pretty tame considering that when he came in he said he was told there was "no limit in terms of budget" (he mightve missinderstood that) and said himself that he wants to bring in a couple midfielders amongst others.

Worrying times for Utd here
I don't think it's a poor squad at all
Moyes is new to this, he's making cowardly decisions - once he figures it out he should be ok

Poor tactics and team selections are more to blame than the lack of reinforcements in the transfer window
Look at them pics and think of Kagawa and other top #10's in general. They would all be playing in between the lines finding space around where the ref is, coming short to collect the ball. But Rooney is trying to make the same runs as RVP which messes up our overall game and forces us to either play a hopeless long ball over the top or out wide for another cross.
Later on in the game RVP takes the initiative to come short for the ball to do what Rooney should be doing but it shouldn't be that way.
In the 2nd pic Cleverley is on the ball. Swap him with any of our summer midfield targets and you still got the same problem which is limited passing options available because of the tactics.

You wouldn't because Fab and Thiago have vision and creativity unlike Clevs

They would be playing in CM in a rigid 4-4-2 with 2 wingers far away from them hugging the touchline and 2 strikers far away from them on the shoulder of the last defender vs teams playing a midfield trio = Limited options in front of them

They can both drive forward with the ball, commit players, see passes that Clev doesn't
Fabregas has goals in him too

You do know that Clevs drives forward with the ball the most of our midfielders yea?
You dont even watch him play

Claverley's name shouldn't even be in the same sentence as them two. He wouldn't look out of place in a mid table team smh

Drives forward but he doesn't do anything. He doesn't see a pass or make a pass

Would shine tbh
Clearly Cleverly is good with 1 2s its his final ball that is lacking. Also his chances in front of goal are shocking.
