It would've been different if already had a CL medal. But he doesn't. He already lost one final (albeit to a piece of magic from our generation's finest player). Personally, if you don't shoot, you don't take penalties, unless you really have to, especially as you have players like Essien, Kalou, Carvalho who are known to have a good shot.Technique is CRUCIAL when you take pens.
