Anyone got any tips for when employers ask you if you have any questions for them? What kind of questions should I be asking?Got an interview on Wednesday for a trainee auditor role and I will be prepared for questions tey ask and all that, but when it comes down to d I have any questions to ask, I'm always caught off guard. Don't want to ask a reasonable question like in my first year what can I expect to do, and be seen to not have done proper research into what the job entails.Big thanks to Jo Dark for messaging me back with help. Much appreciated sistren.

its a tricky one because the examples posted are exactly what most ppl ask, thing is you want to separate yourself from this rest, stand out from the crowd.my only advice is that there must be some questions that you actually really want to know or care about regarding the company or position, this is a career job so you must have something.at interviews they won't actually cover all the details of the job, they will leave that for you to ask, just pay attention to what they actually say and what info you require about them.if all else fails, just run with the above or something like...how will my peformance be judged within my probation period? or how long and what kind of training will i receive for this position?

Whenever I'm asked that question for retail jobs I ask if there are oppurtunites to advance in the company and become a team leader/supervisor. They love that sh*t, shows you're devoted and not just there for quick money.
It also shows them that they should watch out for you because it's possible you may be eventually gunning for their job.I avoid asking that question now.

Job interview went well. I feel content. Kinda pissed I thought of a sick answer to one of the questions after I had the interview but oh well. Hopefully I make it through here and to the assessment centre.Glad to be back in London though. They cancelled my original train back to London, but I went to the station and they allowed me to get on an even earlier train. f*ck the snow.

Explain how you have built and maintained a relationship with a customer, and it can be an external or internal customer.Tell me about a time you made a decision on a situation and explain how it affected those around you.Tell me about a challenging task you carried out and what steps you took to complete itWhat do you know about the audit commissionWhy do you want to work for the Audit CommissionWhat could you bring to the organisationHow have you used IT to complete tasksThe guy would ask like 1/2 follow up questions for each of the above questions to get me to elaborate.I tihnk this was everything but if I remember more I will list them.

Job is really pissing me off lately, should've left time ago but it's comfy. The only way (unless a jobs put on a plate to me) of leaving is by handing in my notice and then looking for a job, but there's slight doubtshmmm

does anyone know how you train to be a visual merchandiser, or how to go about getting into that field?

The way this job has been tempting me. Assuming it's Fashion Visual Merchandising you want to do you could start off in retail job as sales assistant, and get trained up as a VM. Or get work experience in the field then take it from there.

That said, I used to work with one girl who was a sales assistant in the same store as me, but then got a job as a VM in Topshop Oxford circus straight after...

A quote fmor an email I received:

Thank you for attending our first round interview. We were very impressed with your performance and are delighted to inform you that we would like you to attend our final stage Assessment Centre.

I'm sure that is the same sh*t they send to everyone that passed the interview stage but I'm happy anyways that I'm through to the next stage. Need to book the assessment centre now.
