This can potentially be very bad newsto be honest I think they know these companies are going down the pan theres no point saving them now

Basically, the US want to set up a fund out of taxpayers money (this is the $700bn we are talking about)Then they want to take all the bad assets of some of the worlds biggest banks (which atre struggling) and write them off with this $700bn fund.If they don't some of the worlds largest, most established banks will collapse, which will effect the world economy greatly, u'll see job losses here, certain banks go down. Most importatntly those paying mortgages will end up with negative equity, leading to greater debt for all of society.That is basically it i think, some of the money is also gonna help with liquidity issues etc.
