Info on ATL please, think Kurious went last year but cant be sure

Wanting to go late July

for me atl is more of an entertainment/shopping thing. my brother lives there so i go alot,

ill be there next month.

If you're not going to rent a car then its advisable to stay in Midtown or downtown, cos thats near the clubs and shopping malls

going to Lennox and phipps plaza malls are a must for shopping. the outlet malls are on the outskirts of atl so you would need to drive there.

taking taxis will be ok within the central part of atl such as midtown and downtown, anyting outside of that will be a bit pricey but compared to london it will be cheap.

clubs: Leopard lounge, magic city, Havana club, compound.. these are the good ones still left. The thing with these clubs is they are all the 'black' clubs owned by blacks mainly but in rich white areas, so the politics is they're getting them shut down due to the crowds and residents complaining. so some may have moved cos magic city closed for a while but is back open..

the food is dead cheap compared to London. touristy places to visit are stone mountain park, the olympic area in downtown, CNN plaza, zoo atlanta, cocacola HQ, and underground atlanta, Six flags of atlanta is amazing, and then you have Dave & Busters which is like trocadero but 10x better

you ALL need to be over 21 to enter, and the 21 yr olds need someone to be over 25 in that group to be allowed entry.

places to eat..there's so many.. but look out for Taxas BBQ, Justins (diddys place..nothing spec tbh), and cheesecake Factory (yes its a restaurant as well). people may be slow and laid back but way more friendly than most parts of the US and certainly the UK. its definately the black capital of the US and such good vibes you should have a great time...if you're not bitten by the bug that makes you want to move there then id be very surprised.

WHATS EGYPT SAYING?

Anyone been recently?

With all the unrest there at the mo. Are the resorts safe?

Might have to reach july..

Half the people i know that have been have said it's the worsed place they've been to and the other half say it's the best so i'm guessing it all depends on the location/hotel more than just the country in general.

yo whos gone on holiday by themselves. pl are flopping.

can imagine it either being so dry or really gd

thoughts

Would guess it depends where you go

Obviously somewhere like Magaluf you can't go on your own, but somewhere with culture you definitely can. As long as you haev a plan of what you're gonna do in the day

I went to Barcelona with a couple people a while back and wished i'd gone on my own

Right I worked in zante last year.

Now im thinking of flying back at 7am tomorrow.

I work in a supermarket full time, what should I say to them? Seeing as though I am meant to give one weeks notice, and they rely heavily on me.

There's nothing you can say tbh. If you can deal with the consequences of not having a job when you come back then go. If you can't then stay.

imo it depends how long you've worked there..if it's a long time and you havent pulled this kinda thing before they will prob let you off but if you haven't worked there long ull prob be fired.

I worked there for 14 months then fund another job, then i have worked there for 8/9 months this second spell.

I know they wont take me back on, but they want a weeks notice (thats just so holiday pay is paid, not arsed about that). But i will be giving them one days notice.

Will it affect the reference they give me?

Being a big kid, going Disneyworld for my bday in Sept with the GF

Found a really good deal

Decent hotel on International Drive, free shuttle bus to all parks, The “One” pass for 14 days which gets you in ALL of the parks/attractions, Car hire, flights with Virgin too

£1350 each

Which is pretty good when you try doing it all separate, the Disney ticket alone is about 4-500.

4/9/11 – 18/9/11

Happy days
